LCS Ride Day at the PIT

LCS Ride Day at the PIT

Nov 15th, 2009

Customer Appreciation Day

LCS Racing, Action Suzuki, and The Pit MX invite you, your riding friends and family to the “pit” for two days of fun and food. Ride with Lucky, Steve, Paul and the boys.

Come ride for the weekend. If you want to camp overnight, a two-day pass is $20.00 with the camping fee waived. Otherwise, it is $10 for a day pass for Saturday and/or Sunday. This is a great value for riding!

Both days, Action Suzuki, LCS & The Pit MX with have a free cookout of hot dogs (and select road kill) from noon to 2:00 pm (or until the food runs out). Bring your own drinks.

If you haven’t been to The Pit MX track in Terrell, then this is a great time to do it! The Pit has become our favorite place to ride. There is a really large MX track, a five mile cross country loop, and other tracks for the young, less experienced riders.

What you’ll like about the MX track: It looks and feels like a Southern California track…it’s rough, fast, has nice elevation changes, and the jumps are user-friendly for the average rider, while still challenging for the fast riders who can put jump sections together. Due to the length of this track it can handle a lot of riders at one time.

What you’ll like about the cross country track: It’s tight, and long, lots of switch backs, woods, and different dirt from clay to sand.

What you’ll like about the other tracks; Not all riders ride at the same speed or the same level of experience. These other tracks are small and give you the opportunity to work with your riders to improve their skills.

No RSVPs required…just show up!

Time tested rules for clean fun: Always hold your line. If you are getting passed by a faster rider DO NOT try and help him by moving out of his way. If he is faster he will get around.

If you are passing a slower rider DO NOT assume that he has a clue of his next line choice. The safest place to pass is in and around the corners. This does not mean you should use this rider for a berm. Remember, we were all slower at one time and if you use that rider for a berm, he may return the favor some day.

Never enter, exit, or cross the racing surface on the blind side of a jump.

If you are not going to clear an obstacle, do not approach it in the fast line.
