    Default In Memorium: Brandon Byrd

Because motocrossers are such a small and close-knit family, I know that most of you have already heard about the tragedy that occured at Steel Roost Motocross on Sunday.

Brandon Byrd, 14, of Lubbock passed away from injuries sustained in a crash in the 125 open class 2nd moto. As if this tragedy was not bad enough, it appears that this was the first race that he ever attended.

At this time, services are pending with Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock. The public services are believed to be on Friday, but the final location and time are still being worked out.

Please add Brandon's family to your prayers and hug your kids tightly tonight.

This is definitely sad news. My prayers go out to his family.
