    Default I ate a booger!

That is how I feel whenever I see Nobama and anyone who tries to defend him. PU 300 should change his moniker to BO 300. Anyway, suck it.

I voted for Obama, and since he won, I have to admit I feel a little less likely to be hassled while taking pix of trains. Weather permitting, lunch hour visits to trackage in the Fort Worth and Saginaw vicinity are better than ever. I got what I wanted. Obama still gets my approval, but the pollsters haven't called me personally.

If it costs me an extra $500 a year in taxes, I am straight up fine with that. If it actually cost everyone else an extra $500, well, sorry about that. I think most of us have saved that much in gasoline costs since August 2008 so I don't feel particularly guilty over it.

Yep you saved some in gas which means most who did were able to go to more races. Which means the track owners had more riders and was able to stay open giving you a place to ride. The gas station you stopped at to go ride sold more gas. Which in turn gave the truck driver that delivers the gas to the station another load of gas to deliver. The truck he drove there put more miles on the tires meaning the tire supply company will get to sell more tires. Which means the employees at the tire plant were working on making those tires. Oh and because those workers were going to work they had to buy gas to get to work. Now because you are able to save that gas money and ride more, I bet the motorcyle dealers, parts suppliers, apparel suppliers were happy everyone got to get that extra ride in last year. Hope everyone will get to make that extra ride this year also, but giving an extra $500 to the government might make it hard for some. And it won't take many no-shows at a track for that track owner to be able to stay open. And if the Bush tax cuts are let to expire, it will be more than $500 you will pay in taxes next year. So much for the promise of not raising taxes on the middle class. Just saying

It will get bigger in three years? Cool, I could use all I can get. Please consider that it was really really cold that night. Oh well, 11K's bike seemed to enjoy it enough. I appreciate your understanding and at least listening to my opinion.

What fun would this be if I didn't come up with something controversial every so often?

I can only speak for myself, but I just got done doing my taxes. Made a whopping $200 more than last year, and paid a whopping $39 less in federal taxes. Wish I could say the same for my local taxes, which went up about $600 between actual property tax and estimated sales tax (per IRS Schedule A worksheet). In reality, paying more local taxes is why I'm paying less federal, otherwise it would probably be $20 more.

In the end, I'll be damned if I'm not out about $500 for taxes (more like $550). I could go blaming the local Republicans, but I did vote for school and road bond issues so it's my own fault as much as anyone's. But it's OK, I get by and I feel less likely to get hassled while taking pix of trains.

The first lady may be a bigger threat to a balanced budget than the President or Congress.

Regardless of your political affiliation, this ought to make you stop & wonder.scroll down all the way for the details.

"In my own life in my own small way, I have tried to give back to this country that has given me so much," she said. "See, that's why I left a job at a big law firm for a career in public service, "...
    Michelle Obama

No, Michele Obama does not get paid to serve as the First Lady and she doesn't perform any official duties. But this hasn't deterred her from hiring an unprecedented number of staffers to cater to her every whim and to satisfy her every request in the midst of the Great Recession.

Just think, Mary Lincoln was taken to task for purchasing china for the White House during the Civil War. And Mamie Eisenhower had to shell out the salary for her personal secretary from her husband's salary.

Total Personal Staff members for other first ladies paid by taxpayers:

Mamie Eisenhower: One-- paid for personally out of President's salary.
    Jackie Kennedy: One
    Roseline Carter: One
    Barbara Bush: One
    Hilary Clinton: Three
    Laura Bush: One
    Michele Obama: Twenty-two

How things have changed! If you're one of the tens of millions of Americans facing certain destitution, earning less than subsistence wages stocking the shelves at Wal-Mart or serving up McDonald cheeseburgers, prepare to scream and then come to realize that the benefit package for these servants of Ms Michelle are the same as members of the national security and defense departments and the bill for these assorted lackeys is paid by YOU, John Q. Public:

    Michele Obama's personal staff:

One.. $172,200 - Sher, Susan (Chief Of Staff)
Two.. $140,000 - Frye, Jocelyn C. (Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Policy And Projects For The First Lady)
Three.. $113,000 - Rogers, Desiree G. (Special Assistant to the President and White House Social Secretary for Mrs. Obama)
Four.. $102,000 - Johnston, Camille Y. (Special Assistant to the President
and Director of Communications for the First Lady)
Five.. $100,000 - Winter, Melissa (Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief Of Staff to the First Lady)
Six.. $90,000 Medina , David S. (Deputy Chief Of Staff to the First Lady)
Seven.. $84,000 - Lilyveld, Catherine M. (Director and Press Secretary to the First Lady)
Eight.. $75,000 - Starkey, Frances M. (Director of Scheduling and Advance for the First Lady)
Nine.. $70,000 - Sanders, Trooper (Deputy Director of Policy and Project for the First Lady)
Ten.. $65,000 - Burnough, Erinn (Deputy Director and Deputy Social Secretary)
Eleven.. $64,000 - Reinstein, Joseph B.(Deputy Director and Deputy Social Secretary)
Twelve.. $62,000 - Goodman, Jennifer R. (Deputy Director of Scheduling and Events Coordinator For The First Lady)
Thirteen.. $60,000 Fitz, Alan O.(Deputy Director of Advance and Trip Director
    for the First Lady)
Fourteen.. $57,500 - Lewis, Dana M. (Special Assistant and Personal Aide to the First Lady)
Fifteen... $52,500 - Mustaphi, Semonti M. (Associate Director and Deputy Press Secretary To The First Lady)
Sixteen.. $50,000 - Jarvis, Kristen E. (Special Assistant for Scheduling and Traveling Aide To The First Lady)
Seventeen.. $45,000 - Lechtenberg, Tyler A. (Associate Director of Correspondence For The First Lady)
Eighteen.. $43,000 - Tubman, Samanth a (Deputy Associate Director, Social Office)
Nineteen.. $40,000 - Boswell, Joseph J. (Executive Assistant to the Chief Of Staff to the First Lady)
Twenty.. $36,000 - Armbruster, Sally M. (Staff Assistant to the Social Secretary)
    Twenty-One.. $35,000 - Bookey, Natalie (Staff Assistant)
Twenty-Two.. $35,000 - Jackson, Deilia A. (Deputy Associate Director of Correspondence for the First Lady)
    (total $1,591,200 in annual salaries)

There has NEVER been anyone in the White House at any time who has created such an army of staffers whose sole duties are the facilitation of the First Lady's social life.

One wonders why she needs so much help, at taxpayer expense.

Yes, I know, The Canadian Free Press had to publish this,
perhaps because America no longer has a free press and the USA media is too scared that they might be considered racist or suffer at the hands of Obama.

Partly true (number of Michelle Obama staffers) and partly false (number for other First Ladys).

    Source: http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/firstlady.asp

"...according to the Associated Press, several other First Ladies had larger numbers of personnel working for them than Michelle Obama does:

A look at some first ladies and their staff sizes:

Laura Bush: Between 24 and 26 by end of President George W. Bush's term in 2009, according to Anita McBride, Mrs. Bush's chief of staff.

Lady Bird Johnson, whose signature issue was beautifying roadways, had a staff of 30, said Stacy A. Cordery, a history professor at Montmouth College in Illinois who studies first ladies.

Betty Ford had almost the same number.

Jacqueline Kennedy, who made renovating the White House her cause, had about 40 people on staff, Cordery said."

I would gladly do the same, however... the extra $500 will go to larger government, not paying down debt. And Huffster, history shows the good times started when Clinton was in charge. The motocross and many other luxury/ good times related industries directly reflect this. I'm not here to say the economy didn't get a little out of hand, but bigger government regulating everything isn't the answer. Let companies fail!! Our economy will adjust, new players will emerge; the strong will survive. I've spent the last year around attorneys, and I can assure you they have no concept of how a real dollar is earned!!!

You guys got your Change, now we need a true LEADER to run the country.
