Default cycle ranch sunday...ride review on 2010 yamaha

There were about 4-5 new 450's yesterday, and it was a great day at the track. ALOT of fast riders including Austin Miller, JP$ and the rest of the Honda of Houston gang was there. Track got rough and Austin and I did a little figure 8 track in the back and someone was getting some sick pictures of him and I dragging hard! Wondering if y'all had any ideo who was taking them?>?????

I will have some helmet cam from the new GO Pro HD by the end of the day.

I let a few guys ride my bike and now 1 guy wants to buy 2 of them and the other has his on order all the way. Josh Fichter absolutely loved it, which was killer, and Jason Doyle made the track the best its been in a while.

    video later....

first off, I am coming off a stock 09 CRF450R which was a great bike for me, I improved as a rider when I started riding it. However, after months of troubles, I got more and more excited about the 2010 YZ being released.

Now that it is here, I could NOT be HAPPIER. This is hands down, THE BEST BIKE I HAVE EVER RIDDEN. No doubt in m mind it is the fastest bike ever made out of the box, hands down. Turning, Ha! It's more like BURNING b/c cornering is easier than a straight. This bike once again had me shaking when I got off. IT is very fast, very responsive, however it did everything that I wanted it to do. Throttle control is very easy to maintain, wether or not you're in the Woods, or on the track.

    Engine:
-Bottom End: Out of the entire 5-speed tranny it is impossible to make this bike bog out. I was hitting ever berm, rut, off-camber, as well as the entire woods course in 3rd gear. You will hear the grunt of the motor coming out of corners, and through the entire woods course.
    - Mid Range- Once again, a hard hitting bottom end into a smooth transitioning mid-range that makes any gear usefull. I prefer to short shift my 450's so this motor is my best friend.
    - Top-End: I was still breaking in the bike while video taping, so you cna't completely notice the pull this motor has at 5th gear, however you will notice how quick it gets up to speed. It seems that the faster you go on the bike, the quicker it rev's and the further the RPM's are pulling. The track that I am riding has a 5th gear straight, 2 acctually, and I was never once close to the rev limiter. You can hear the intake roaring and it makes you wonder if the bike gets faster, as you go faster.

Overall it is the best Motor I have ever ridden.

Suspension: First off, I wiegh 135LBS. I have never been able to make a stock bike turn like I can when Josh at EBR sets it for me. That is not the Case here, it Turns on a Dime wether im on the gas tank, standing up, or on sitting on the rear fender. Just steer with your head and the bike will follow. It is unbelievable. Yamaha has always had great suspension and this year is no different. In fact, my stock suspension is completely race-able. I will have the suspension done shortly and that almost scares me to think that it can get EVEN better!

Overall, the Best suspension I have ever ridden.

I started riding when I was 3, I have ridden every major manufacture out there 250's and 450's. This bike has hands down the best package available. ya ya the KAwi is fast but not that fast. this bike pulls HARD! Besides, who is going to use all that power? Kumansuckmi's run good and handle great but im sorry, 50 hours against 50 hours, a kawasaki will break 4 times faster and everyone knows Yamaha's reliability. So take a very fast motor with even better handling features, you have a great package.

    Thanks for the Kawi Jack.

THANKS FOR NOT SUCKING KAWI'S NUTS AND BOLTS.

I DO REALIZE KAWASAKI'S ARE GREAT BIKES, TOP NOTCH AT THAT...HOWEVER THEY BREAK EVERY TIME YOU TURN AROUND, AND ITS NOT LIKE I CAN'T MAINTAIN A BIKE. JUST GIVING OFF MY OPINION ONCE AGAIN SOME PEOPLE LIKE BLONDE'S AND SOME LIKE BRUNETTE'S...

I HAVE SOME GREAT HELMET CAM FROM THIS WEEKEND RIDING WITH DEREK HOWERTON, AND A FEW OTHERS. JUST HAVE TO GET IT UPLOADED AND WORK IS RAILING ME RIGHT NOW!!!!

    HOPE Y'ALL ENJOY.

Maybe its just my ISP, but can anyone not stand youtube anymore? Click on the video, watch 5 seconds, buffer for 3 hours to watch the whole thing. This connection is fast enough but I am starting to think that the ISP restricts youtube...Every other video site loads and streams fast....bah. I'll be buffering that video for a few hours, first few seconds looks cool...haha.

Try updating your flash player, I just did and they stream fine for me....

After restarting, doing speed test, testing browsers on diffrent machines, concluding that the bandwidth issue between youtube and vimeo was regional (ISP and networks), I upgraded my version of flash (which was not old, just one or two versions), and the videos stream fine now...

Either that was the issue or my ISP opened the flood gates because its past midnight...
