Default What a weekend! Thanks from CrossCreek also new video link

See below for helmet cam video from 11/28

Thanks for everyone's show of support and for making the choice to visit CrossCreek this week for riding with friends and family. We ended up with well over 400 riders and 200 spectators this week which is the most we have had for open practice. Among all the praise and comments I received (thank you) one recurring thing I heard was even on Saturday with over 280 riders, the Day track never got crowded or congested which some of you felt beat the alternative. It helps that the new Day track is much longer and wider now but also the ability to spread out on all 5 tracks and mix it up throughout the day helped. I can't wait to throw the trails in the mix again when we reopen them next year. Might break another record

Moving forward I realized lately how much I miss the natural rolling sand whoops that used to be in the front straight and plan on adding some in the straight after the Flip Pack this week or soon after. The Flip Pack seemed better after a good tractor drag Friday but could still use a little more love. After last weeks rain they were too soft for the dozer until Friday when I didn't have the time. We will get to them as promised soon and hopefully be dry enough to rebuild this week. I did notice a lot more riders hitting them this week than last. Even got a few more "don't touch them" votes from previous naysayers after they conquered the section.

The track is working itself in great I think. Every weekend it gets better and better as we work the dirt in and the jumps get packed. It always amazes me how bikes can reshape a corner or berm faster than a dozer at times. Especially with 400+ bikes tearing it up. With a few more tweaks it will be darn near perfect IMO, but luckily for me never finished. I really appreciate all the suggestions a lot of you have made to help reach that goal. Of course It would be impossible to use everyone's input but every idea offered is helpful and you may come out one weekend to find a jump with your name on it for the idea. Just like Flipper haha . So keep the ideas, suggestions, any critisizm, and escpecially the praises coming. Feedback is priceless to me and it helps to know what you think and suggest so we can stay moving in the right direction.

    Thanks,
