Default Buffalo Creek Shock Sox $10,000 Results

Just a quick THANKS to all of the sponsors, racers and spectators that flowed into Buffalo Creek for this 2nd Annual event. The track worked in great for Saturday afternoon's practices, and was really great for Sunday's racing. Pro's were rewarded with a $10,000 pro purse, and the amateurs went home with ton's of awards and contingencies that was kicked in from the great sponsors. The combination of Jason Langford SR & JR repairing soft spots (once the track developed) and Justin Malcolm'S excellent tilling job.....the track was great. Especially considering all the rain that has surrounded east TX over the past few weeks.....SOFT SOIL !!

Moto's went off with out a hitch with good cloud coverage most of the day, and the rain finally came with about 7 motos to go. The 2nd 450 pro moto was good ole fashion mud racing, and the Pro's earned their keep.

Jimmy Albertson won the "Wyman Priddy - Father of Texas Motocross" 450 class champion plaque, and was excited about it.....he even referenced watching Steve Stackable (from the 70's) on video, clearly understood that Blake Wharton was the 1st Texan to win a Lites SX main event.......so it was pretty cool giving Jimmy the plaque, knowing he already understood some TX motocross history.
As good as I felt happy for Albee, I felt bad for Demuth....cuz he said he really wanted the plaque...hahaha!

Albee was pretty much unstoppable in both 450 motos going 1-1 for the overall, and really complimented Buffalo Creek course.

Jimmy Alberston on his way to a 1-1 score and the "Wyman Priddy - Father of Texas Motocross" motocross award.

There was some really intense battling going on all over the track, with some very creative lines, and plenty of Pro's earned some cash !!!!!

    250 - Moto 1
    1) Alex Martin
    2) Michael Leib
    3) Josh Demuth
    4) Lance Vincent
    5) Jesse Kangas

    250 - Moto 2
    1) Tevin Tapia
    2) Michael Leib
    3) Josh Demuth
    4) Alex Martin

    450 - Moto 1
    1) Jimmy Albertson
    2) Alex Martin
    3) Tevin Tapia
    4) Lance Vincent
    5) Josh Demuth

    450 - Moto 2
    1) Jimmy Albertson
    2) Tevin Tapia
    3) Josh Demuth
    4) Alex Martin
    5) Sean Hackley

Overall it was a great two weekends of big money pro purse offering in east TX = Texas Two Step - Swan and Buffalo Creek
Hope to see you next year !

tevin tapia! wow! he was in the front in 250 moto 1 at the beggining also, looked like he pulled off with bike trouble. anybody know what happened? very impressive to be up front all day against that kind of stacked competition.

Tevin had spark plug cap issues.....after grabbing the holeshot and leading, then falling over in that moto. Would have been more $$ in his pocket had he not had to pull off in that 1st moto. He was very HAPPY about the track and cash.

It was fun trying to navigate the track after the rain started coming, been a long time since I played in the mud! I bet your draggin ASS today MXBandit, I'm glad I ended up gettin to take it easy today! It was a good weekend, nice meeting AR616 and his son, both good guys and can both haul some ass. If you would of stayed Andy you would of won the Jardeine Exhaust for your bike, you were the only 09 Honda in our class so nobody got it. Had a great time Shand and Russell, cant wait for next year!

My whole body is sore. My neck is the worst. Probably from facing that triple out of the creek. Would of been a bad day if I had a stock suspension.

Hey guys thanks for the compliments. Glad everyone had a great time. The Buffalo Creek staff also deserves a lot of credit. The goal was to offer a great weekend race, $25.00 online entry fee, lots of giveaways, a safe and challenging track, with some GREAT pro purse racing to boot!

Glad everyone seemed to enjoy their weekend at Buffalo Creek !!

P.S. - Stupidgary does rule - he is a man with a psycho-grin, classic space-out stare and many character talents, ..... yet so simple minded w/ a one-track agenda. I was told he autographed many shirts and even some Holeshot Magazines-the dude has a following!!
