Hot on the heels of that last drink is something hot - Nestle Mint Hot chocolate was OK, but better with Rumple Minze.

I'll kick it off with my Beverage Of The Hour - a Manhattan:

Fill and chill a martini glass with ice.

    In a shaker, combine:

    9 parts Jim Beam
    1 part sweet vermouth

Stir, don't shake. Unless you like cloudy drinks. Empty ice from martini glass. Strain contents of shaker into glass.

    Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

Feel free to share your beverage of the hour, and try to keep it down to 1 per hour.

Never read this thread,.............but we'd probably get along...........lol!!!

Got a nice, fresh bottle of Jim Beam, working on Manhattan #1 during quarter #1.

Manhattan #2 during quarter #2. Sometimes I'm predictable like that.

Manhattan #4 for the 4th quarter. When is Mardi Gras? I'm guessing tonight this year.

Off to a late start, but once again, Wednesday calls for the usual Manhattan.

Got an early start this week, just about 90 minutes late to report on Manhattan #1.

Now debating whether to have a #2 or snake one of 11k's Bud Light Golden Wheat's since he doesn't care much for them.

I guess I am still somewhat young and impressionable.

MX320 busted out some mint chocolate M&M's so drink #2 is a Nestlé hot chocolate with Rumple Minze.

Surely I'm not the only one doing it, but apparently I'm the only one admitting to drinking. I guess for everyone else it's beer or shots so there's no recipe to share?

That said, let Manhattan #1 age a little while procuring a couple beverages for 11k and MX320. I'll leave it up to them to disclose what said beverages were.

What's on TV here at 11k land is most objectionabe, but fortunately this site is here to occupy my eyes and the below occupies my ears....

A little slow to get on here. For one, took a few pix at Village already today. Chased a few trains. Now at 11k's watching SX action.

Already on Manhattan #3, sorta forgot to report about #1 and #2. There might already be some VC pix out there, I don't know.

I do recall hearing something about SHOCK SOX while at VC, probably a co sponsor. I didn't see Shand though, and didn't get any FOTW type stuff. Will try harder next time.

Not the usual place or the usual night, or even the usual dinner (not that there is one on Friday night) but having the usual drink!

    Manhattan #1

    Jack Daniels neat...

Because sometimes life just hands you a bottle of Jack and demands you drink the bottle, at gunpoint.

JOE, you sir, have an obvious affair with Manhattans. Carry on.
