East/West Invitational

Not sure how many of you guys raced the east Sunbelt Series, but I wanted to drop a bug in your ear and let you know this race is a little over a month away. August 28-30, actually. Move in on Friday, practice Saturday morning, first motos Saturday night, second motos Sunday morning. Hopefully, that allows you all to show up late and leave early without missing anything (school).

I was out at a practice last night here in west Texas, talking to one of the promoters and he was being extremely skeptical of this event. He was letting me have it left and right about trying to get the east Texas guys to race the west Texas guys. He claimed there would be no crowd and, when I asked why, he said:

"You're not going to get the east Texas guys to show up. Every time they come out to race, they think they are going to run all over the west Texas guys. Then they get their asses kicked and go home upset."

Anyway, I know the west Texas crowd is going to show up like an Italian mob or Mexican gang. I was wondering if any of you were thinking about trying your hand against some of the best riders in the state.

I am looking forward to this event....should be a lot of fun watching the two territories square off. As far as I know there are no other races scheduled anywhere on that weekend (so far) so hopefffuly everyone will shoot on out to Nocona for the race.

That dude hauls ass! You should see his starting technique. Dover's bike is a little ill right now but 11k will offer up the VU kxf450 if a comeback is wanted.

I think the VU kxf450 may be a bit much for Ben Dover...he's comfortable on the 250F!!
