Default ok vets unite and any other willing souls look here......

iam receiving rumers that three palms is going to change the date of the third and last round of the toyota truck series. here is my problem. his rules state
1.there has to be 16 riders in the pro class for josh to win the truck.
    2. josh has to win the overall for each round ( which he has won rd 1 and rd 2)
    3. not sure what rule he will make up the morning of the race.

why am i on here asking you die hard racers to help.
i have a very close and trust worthy racer who was asked to beat him so he didn't win the truck and in return he would be paid to do so.
this is all ok with me because i have friends who would love to all sign up for the pro class just in case were short on the 16 rider min.
the race was scheduled to be oct 20 or 21st. i looked on there web site and cant find any info. part unlimited called and said he was moving the date to the 15th, 16th of oct. which is the same as the us open. lets help josh win a truck (since he doesn't have one right now ) what do ya say guys?????????

again no bashing three palms i wouldn't want to buy someone else a 40,000 truck either.
i figure this is fair game for putting a bounty on josh's head.

    Greg,

To my knowledge the dates are the 13-14th of October - 2.5 weeks away. Josh has completely railed those 2 races, and I for one would like to see a truck won. Three Palms has been offering this really good deal for the last couple of years....And I commend them for that........ I don't get all the bounty chit---if this is really the case.....It is fair game, however Three Palms has been very proud of what they have been offering (trucks the last couple of years)........ So I hope they would be proud of a racer (like Josh) for his accomplishments.....and not pollute the water with bountys...... I say - Run it as is and let the cards fall where they will !!!!

So this begs the question. Is bounty hunting a good thing?

I mean, it does seem a little shady. But if that is what its going to take to get more pros to the races and get more fans in the seats, is there anything wrong with that?

I don't see anything wrong w/ it - makes the racing entertaining! A little drama never hurt anyone! LOL!!
guess long as the racin' is still clean, it's all good!
Just trash talkin' taken to another level!

he deserves to win it, fair/square. the bounty does draw some good PR though.

Ronny's doing ok. He had a close friend pass away recently and he's dealing with that now. Nationals are definately not where you want to have mechanical trouble and no mechanic!

ah man, i hate to hear that. my sympathies go out to you guys.
Good to see you guys at Freestone though. Turns out RJ and i have a mutual friend (Hunter) that i didnt know about. pretty cool to see them both at the track.

I know it was straight up..that was never up for debate..everyone knows that if ronny is on his A game he is very hard to beat at three palms...but are you saying that emil didn't offer him extra money if he beat lamoine? I.E. a bounty? my figures may be off but I doubt the info is

The purse was very good. Plus Ronny got in on the overall bonus. Emil has helped Ronny out over the years plenty. I believe that this year is a different situation than last year. Last year after the race was advertised with the truck give away, the insurance or whatever fell thru. I don't think that is an issue this year.

I didn't mean for it to come across like ronny did something shady to win...these guys just need to know what they are up against...even with the insurance,if the truck is given away...next year the insurance goes up!
