NTMX is closed, thanks to all who supported us.

It is with a heavy heart that we post tonight and give you the news that North Texas MX Park is now closed.

With low rider participation, increasing costs, and a tanking economy it has been hard to keep the track going. We have exhausted all efforts to keep the track running, and have now made the decision to close the gates for good. Our landlord has demanded that we carry insurance, or vacate the property. That is a payment we just cannot afford on top of everything else. So, our only choice is to close.

We hope you have enjoyed our unique style of track management and we certainly have enjoyed meeting and racing with all of you.

This was a hard, but a necessary decision to make that has affected our entire family.

We hope to keep promoting motocross and plan to continue racing with all of you at other tracks.

For those of you who were planning on racing our race next weekend, it is being moved and will be announced ASAP.

Again, a HUGE thank you to all of our racers and their families. You have given us go many great times and we know that there are so many more to come.

Who knows.... there just may be a NTMX #2 at a different location one day!

We too are soory to see something that you guys have put so much work into just close down. If there is an NTMX 2, I'm sure it will be even a bigger success than the original. But in the mean time, rest up Spank, you deserve a rest! On another note, does this mean you can work Saturday's now at the Vespa store? j/k

Sorry for the problems you ran into with the track. I only made it out there a few times but I liked the place..
I've known Spanky for along time, he always dealt it straight and had fun at the track. He's got moto in his heart, good luck Bud!!!

Man I'm so bummed about this. It's been quite a while since I've been out to NTMX, but I still remember the first day you opened that track. Your hard work didn't go unnoticed, and your track will be missed.

Thanks for everything you've done, but especially always catered to the pitbikers. You've been kind of the spearhead for pushing the pitbike scene in North Texas, from the original Boondoxxx Series, to having multiple classes at NTMX, to the CHP National.

Sorry to hear it Spanky. I was out there on the first weekend you were open, and the last (this past weekend). I know you worked really hard at the track. If there is anything you need or that I can help with in the future give me a shout!

Spanky, sorry to hear this man. I suck and never made it up there but i always heard great things about it. You didnt support just a track but you contributed greatly to the local scene. Here's hoping version II happens. Best of luck to you.
