VR or no VR? I assume it's AF at least. I'm pretty content with my 70-210 f4 though. And when I eventually drop it I'm only out $200.

I called and they said that there was just a tax increase.

Did you build the house (bought new) ? That's normal if so... the first year the tax value is based on the land value alone and not the improvement... the next year it's based on both and of course your house payment goes up. It amazes me how many builders/lenders fail to mention this and so many people get surprised by the payment increase...

I must say though, $700 a month is pretty steep unless your improvements are worth a substantial amount...

Mine went up $300 after the first year but then leveled.. then decreased $60.

btw, you can ignore the second half of the PM i just sent. I should learn to read the forums before asking obvious questions.. lol

You should have gotten an escrow analysis from your mortage company... compare that to the tax rates and the value of your house. If there's a significant difference where the mortgage company is over estimating the taxes for your escrow payments, maybe you can get them to adjust their escrow calculation. Just a thought... $700 jump sounds high. I've never done that before, but might be worth a shot...

Sorry...back on topic... I actually just bought a D90 Kit w/ an AF-S-DX-NIKKOR-18-105mm-f-3.5-5.6G-ED-VR, and an AF-S-VR-Zoom-NIKKOR-70-300mm-f-4.5-5.6G-IF-ED...so your ad caught my eye. I've decided I need to learn how to use what I've got before I go spending any more money. Anyone know how to get this thing out of Auto mode??

700$ just sounded way to high to me.

However when you live in a million dollar home I guess its all relative.

$8400 per year. OOOOUUUUCCCCHHHHH. With a primary and secondary mortgage we avoided PMI and escrow taxes so we just pay the tax at years end.
