I hate to hear about anyone going on a heli ride. Thast stinks to hear. I hope he gets to feeling better. What track is that?
That was for Josh Napier and it was on Sunday at River Valley early into the races. He buried his front end on the table part of the jump and wadded up pretty hard going over the bars and rag dolling during the Pro Class race. It was first thought that he had a broken femur and a dislocated shoulder. The EMT's worked with him and felt the need to have the ambulance come out because he was in a whole lot of pain. The ambulance guys came out and thought he either broke his leg or broke his femur. Their biggest concern was that they could not get a pulse to register below his knee on that leg so they were concerned about a blood clot or broken arterie or something along those lines which was the reason they called the care flight helicopter out. Josh was taken to Harris hospital in Fort Worth. As of now he had dislocated his hip which they have reset back into place. He had a concussion and bruised his shoulder pretty bad but did not break a collar bone. We are being told he did not break his femur. Hang in there Josh.
Looks like a strange place to land it, dont they usually land off the side pretty far away from the track...

He is actually taking off there and not landing. He had landed in the grass area way over to the left of that shot. We tried to get them to land up on the hill in the grass but they wouldnt do that. Once they set it down it was still to far away and the ride for Josh on the stretcher was a pretty rough ride so they picked the helicopter back up about 6 feet off the ground and moved it towards the ambulance about 40 more feet.Originally Posted by BDP-381
That makes sense, I didnt think about it as taking off. Anyway, I hope for the best to the kid and his family.Originally Posted by motocrossnut34
