Default Noth Texas Night Series vs Central Yamaha Series

Just wondering here, but why did Badlands schedule on top of Freestone, when Badlands series used to be a month earlier?

Inquiring minds want to know. Dont you think you would have a better turnout by not trying to compete with another track? I know if I had to make the choice I would always pick Freestone over Badlands.

The Central Yam SX series use to race every weekend in March and then it was over. Now the series spans over three months is going to force riders to choose a series. Once again, the riders loose.

The NTNS use to race into July but decided to race four rounds instead of five so riders did not have to commit to a longer series. Instead of having a break, the Full Moon series now starts racing in and goes until September. At least you have a choice I guess. I guess Freestone could have a night series in the summer through fall time as well. What's the point though.

I will never understand why "certain" track owners / promoters do this... There has been a pattern of this for the last couple of years and it is obvious who the greedy are... These people might want to start banding together with other tracks as the times are not getting any easier and the weak are bound to fail at some point.
Thanks to Hunters sponsors: Central Yamaha,Moto Mods/JM Racing, Dunlop, Renthal, One Industries, Roost MX, Berm, Gawk Racing, FMF

Every time this happens, the same track is always involved - Badlands.

I want to jump in here and try my best to make sure everyone is aware this is not a Central Yamaha induced problem. The dealership "Central Yamaha" has been one of the Greater MX dealerships around since 1987. Many years ago, the Central Yamaha Supercross Series was started by Dave Walters (ex-owner of Central), and was held at Mosier valley then on to Village Creek. It was always ran in the month of March, and catered to the night-racers that did not care for the other March races. At some point in time the series went to a 2 track format Village/Cordray and Badlands/Carey (back when Carey owned Badlands). The new owner of Central Yamaha (an avid rider who most of you know) did agree to keep the tradition going when Dave Walters sold the dealership, after all, it's decades old and good tradition.

I just hope you all realize that while the series Title Sponsor is Central Yamaha and always has been. Central Yamaha did not /and does not do the scheduling.

I know at this point nobody has pointed directly at Central Yamaha, but you know how things can look, when their name is associated with the title of this thread. I just want to make sure that Central Yamaha does not get any black eyes in this thread, because clearly, some elbowing is going on here.
A must have for all Texas motocross fans!

    Default wow..

    1: Blame Badlands

2: At the request of Jason at Central Yamaha, all parties agreed to extend the "Central Yamaha SX series " So that Central Yamaha personnel could make each round. Blame Badlands

3: All parties agreed to add SWAN raceway to the Central Yamaha SX series to enhance the series ... Blame Badlands

4: The dates selected for this series were talked about with all parties in December. Holeshot Magazine did all the artwork and received updated flyer with date changes on Jan. 8th.. Blame Badlands

5: The only dates for the NTNS were posted on this website on January 19th, eleven days after we were in print.. once again Blame Badlands

6: Round 4 of the Central Yamaha SX Series at Village Creek on April 18th is the ONLY race that goes up against any of the NTNS dates. make perfect since... blame badlands

7: The 2009 Full Moon Series is scheduled, last year in willingness to work together, we shared our schedule to other promoters. Imagine are surprise to see another series with our exact dates. So remember that in june if that happens again... be sure to mark your calendar and you same guys can blame badlands then too.

8: WE try our best to please everyone, however you cannot please everyone. It seems that most of the bashing of Badlands MX Park is done by the same people over and over. We know everyone has a bad day, but the folks that constantly bash us are never at Badlands MX Park. We hold no grudges towards anyone and are excited about the upcoming race season. The new track is off the chain and we look forward to seeing everyone on Feb 18th for the first Night Practice.of 2009. Next race at Badlands MX Park is a 2009 Warm-up race on Feb 28th. Central Yamaha SX Series kicks off March 7th! See you at the race track.. Garth & Debbie

There are only so many weekends in a year, and the Central Yamaha Series was always centered around the SX in Dallas. In fact, it used to carry "SX" in the name if it's not there still, so you have to work with what you have.

With as many tracks as we have around, you'd think folks would get used to overlaps as the lure of the "Big" series becomes ever popular.

    Mxobserver observes the following:

it appears this track makes a habit out of this type of behaviour.
it appears there is a lot of misdirection and double talking when attempting to pin down a response.
it appears it is a direct attempt to disrupt other series.
Mxobserver has been to badlands so dont go there!
Mxobserver questions? what ever happened to the American Airlines $10,000 sponsor badlands was promising everyone?

If MX observer was referring to SMF when speaking about double talk, MX observer don't know SMF.

It also appears that MXO can only properly capitalize when his name is first in the sentance.
