Is nocona a ama affiliated track? That might be why. However nocona probably would make a great round for the pc series.
It is a kinda small place to compared to others, however the series has become a lot smaller than previous years...
I would like to see nocona on the schedule, not sure how the tracks are chosen.
there are lots of tracks that would be good for the PC series, unfortunatly none of them are involved in it!
i'm gonna take a stab and say scheduling and that's probably only part of it. Motocoach is probably more familiar with what it takes than i am but in the talks i've had with local track owners it seems like a giant pain to get these things scheduled. races at the beginning of the year affect scheduling at the end of the year, off weekends, rain dates, etc. it's amazing to me how little time there is to work with. i dont think Nocona has ever purposely been left out. Dirtfarmer is a member here so maybe he'll chime in. heck, maybe it's never been considered? It'd be great to see a PC round up there though.

While I am associated with Village Creek I have no inside information about the scheduling process for the Pro Circuit Series and this is in no way an official statement.
However, speaking in general terms, in most cases a track is selected to be part of a series based first on the number of entries that track will bring into the series. There are a number of other considerations like location, track layout, the dirt and the track's reputation in general.

oakhill, cooperland, freestone, cycle ranch, only having 3 tracks made me decide to not go to anymore of em
I considered the numbers thing for a second as well. i know Nocona can pack them in but i dont know their actual headcounts on racedays. you wont find much better dirt though, for sure.Originally Posted by Jack Rhodes

I would be at Nocona in a heart beat if the PC series was there. I think tons of other people would too. The only reason their races don't get a big turnout is the fact that they are usually the sames weekend as a contingency race or series somewhere else.
I dare someone to put a contingency race there and watch how many people come out of the woodwork to race!!
So you are saying Nocona is too good of a track to be considered for the present runned down series? Nocona from a riders stanpoint is hands down better that 2 of the 3 current tracks in the PC series.Originally Posted by Jack Rhodes
