Does anyone know if they are open today?
I believe Larry has closed the track. Last time I talked to him he said he was 95% sure he was done with it, and now the track # has been disconnected, and his cell is dead. I wouldn't waist the gas.

Doubt its open, we've had a TON of snow and crap up here, all our yards are just muck... It'd be pretty muddy there I'd assume.
Really??? What was the reason?Originally Posted by MXjunk127

damn. That does suck!!! Why does that place always have some many problems? Is it that stupid drag strip owner or what?
1. People are dumb.
2. Follow the money.

Same story, over & over & over & over.

That was the last time I was there.
Not every track should be as beginner friendly as your lemon party track Cam. I am sure not all track owners are ok with doing something like that either.
That track was kick ass, actually had a few jumps you could screw yourself up on, and some stuff you had to push yourself to do. The simple fact is that track has always failed because of the dirt, and North Texas riders being too spoiled. Its not feasible to fix that dirt, so we are better off letting it die.
To run a track successfully here you have to cater to the spodes, thats just a fact, but I have to hand it to larry for providing a fun place to ride for a while, however short lived.

Agreed. That track was awesome. Finally something that's not boring...props to Larry for giving it a go. I'm going to miss that place.
You don't have a clue. RV will kick your slow ass in one lap and Milam would succeed as a beginner track.Originally Posted by MXjunk127

Chill Larry. My thoughts on Milam don't reflect negatively on you at all. I know how hard it is to run a track and I probably appreciate your efforts more than 99% of the people reading this thread. I just think that the only way to keep the gates open on that particular location is to cater to beginners. What's wrong with that?Originally Posted by Larry Shirey
