    Default Mac Bennett aka Stackman

Well, watching Marshall Smith make it look so easy got the best of me. I decided to show the o30 in Austin how it was done. This would have been my first race back since March 07 (broken left wrist). So on Saturday I suited up for some fun. My ego got the best of me and I went for the catapult on the first practice lap. Let's just say I came up a little short on the landing and cased it. I woke up with my son Stack on the track with me. Off I went to Brackenridge Hosp with the following diagnosis; fractured right ulna and radius, fractured right tibia and fibula, and I made a three piece ankle into a six piece. Emergency surgery on the leg and ankle and I finally made it back to Mansfield on Tuesday. I am sporting some serious hardware down there.

A big thanks to Bud Moore and family for entertaining Stack so Marshall could race. also to Big Marshall for getting the motorhome, trailer, and bikes along with Stack back home. Big Marshall even drove down Tues. and picked me up to get me home. My wife was really worried about Stack, but just as I had always said, the motocross family stepped up and helped my family. I look forward to seeing everyone next week in Whitney. I will be the cripple in the red golf cart!!!!!!

Dammit Mac! You just got back on the bike. I just hope you heal faster this time, and I guess it's a good thing your supervisor decided to, well you know.

Hey, I have some kid gear Stack might be able to use so give me a heads up next time Y'all come out to VC, and he can have what wants.

Great news, after I saw the Dr. today, he has decided to put plates in my wrist next Tues. I am definately comtemplating retirement and focusing on Stack and Marshall. I will upload a x ray of my hardware store in my ankle later. Thanks!

The transformation to the 6 million dollar man is almost complete! A plate was put onto my right wrist/arm today. This will just complement the 3 plates in my face, the 4 plates and 20 screws in my right ankle/leg, the screw in my left wrist, and the plate in my my left arm. AAH motocross, you gotta love it! Can anyone say AFLAAAAC! $$$$$$$.

Stackman, listen to Coach Buttermaker...now that's some sound advice right there!!
I've got an ankle that got busted in to 8 pieces...not enuf to put screws in, so they cinched it up, told me to stay off it for 6wks & see how it healed up! Now when the weather changes, I need a couple of minutes to get moving...wiggle it around & get the juices goin!

If you drink enough beer & slow it down a LOT...you could develop new aspirations of becoming a chartered, certifiable VU member!

The b]VU[/b] race @ Freestone & Chubbles waddin' it up...I was right behind him & I almost wadded it up. I was laughing so hard!! It was indeed a legendary race!!
