Well, watching Marshall Smith make it look so easy got the best of me. I decided to show the o30 in Austin how it was done. This would have been my first race back since March 07 (broken left wrist). So on Saturday I suited up for some fun. My ego got the best of me and I went for the catapult on the first practice lap. Let's just say I came up a little short on the landing and cased it. I woke up with my son Stack on the track with me. Off I went to Brackenridge Hosp with the following diagnosis; fractured right ulna and radius, fractured right tibia and fibula, and I made a three piece ankle into a six piece. Emergency surgery on the leg and ankle and I finally made it back to Mansfield on Tuesday. I am sporting some serious hardware down there.![]()
A big thanks to Bud Moore and family for entertaining Stack so Marshall could race. also to Big Marshall for getting the motorhome, trailer, and bikes along with Stack back home. Big Marshall even drove down Tues. and picked me up to get me home. My wife was really worried about Stack, but just as I had always said, the motocross family stepped up and helped my family. I look forward to seeing everyone next week in Whitney. I will be the cripple in the red golf cart!!!!!!
