Hey All,
Taking a break for lunch right now and want to update the track. I have to ask for your patience on the opening of Athens. I want the track and facility to be perfect, that being said I need an extra week to finish the facility for a great experience for all. This is in no way a sign of things to come just want the dirt, faces, landings, obstacles, and facility to be top notch. I got a little ahead of my self this week and posted opening to soon. I have been out turning the dirt and getting all watering issues handled. I have placed 4 new pumps in the pond that water the entire track. water truck has new pumps placed on it with the air head sprayers.

I hope you guys will appreciate all the work that has gone into rebuilding Athens Mx Park into a better facility than ever before. If you are not running the Full Moon next week please come on out, if you are racing the full moon Saturday come on out Sunday.
Opening August 11th 9-4pm and Sunday 9-4

Larry, how is it progressing for this weekend? Ive been dropping by every eeekend and the track looks great! Yesterdays rain probably didnt hury either! See you saturday, cant wait!

Man the track is going to be epic. did not receive any rain but that is not stopping us. Athens will open at 9am Saturday morning. Come on out.

The entire track is open, and it is awesome. Im still grinning from how fun this track is. Cant wait til next weekend to hit it again!

Looks like they need to find a water truck and move the t post fence back ecspecially in that sweeper.. U get any one with real speed rippin through there and the sh!ts gunna hit the fan. At min wrap and cap in some pvc.

Hey thank all of you for coming out this weekend. We had an awesome time. The track held up great even with the 105 and 101 degree temps. As far as the previous comment. I feel it is worth noting only to say and not trying to offend you txgoon. With it being August and this video was taken late in the afternoon you will have of dust. I have a 2000 gallon water truck, full track irrigation system, and i am not sure if you are aware of the past of athens mx but we have hosted and still have some of the fastest riders in the world here from team samsung and team bookoo filming and training a tv series called reality of speed for speed channel. We had quite a few pro riders also out this weekend and everyone had a smile on there
face.

I still have a lot of work on the facility and will continue to make improvements on all necessary items for rider safety and enjoyment. I believe Athens MX park is a very special place and is the only track of its kind. This place is a hybrid, combined outdoor mx with an stadium feel. I am committed to rider safety and making it challenging at the same time. With that said I will be taking some things learned from the weekend opening and making improvements and changes in certain areas. I did not want to make drastic changes to what I believe to be one of the best flowing tracks around but if you think it is the same Athens you need to come check it out. I look forward to having all of you come out and lay down some laps.
