Man, I hate I'm out of town this weekend. I love these races you guys are putting on! It reminds me of 80's and early 90's Ross Downs and Mossier Night track with full gates of pros racing under the lights. Thanks to Shand and Terry for putting this together. I've always felt like racing dirt bikes for money is the hardest way in the world to make a living so I applaud guys that go the extra mile for the local pro giving back. I hope this series is here to stay. I'll be the guy in the stands with a big cooler at the next round.

That was a good night of racing. I would like to thank Terry, Shand, Jack and everyone that helped with putting on that race. I like when Shand and Jack work together makes the night even better. Also I would also like to thank Moto Mods for being there and helping everyone. If you ever need bike work these are the guys to go to. Thanks to Marty for great job on sons 50 and 65 suspension and for Cody for fixing my sons tires.

Default Round # 1 RECAP - Sponsored by CENTRAL YAMAHA

Round #1 is in the books for the 2nd Annual BERM Motorsports Pro Showdown Series presented by MOTOREX OIL and sponsored by CENTRAL YAMAHA. Featuring $5,000.00 SHOCK SOX / TiscoRacing.com Pro Points Fund.

What a night it was... First, want to thank all of you Amateurs, Spectators and Pro riders that showed up. Second, a HUGE thanks to Terry Cordray, Terry Robinson, Dennis Gayoso (Pro section builder), Jack Rhodes (Father of Texas Motocross Announcing) and the entire Village Creek MX Park staff. A lot of hard work has gone on out at Village over the last couple of months getting ready for this series.

A few highlights on the night.

    * CENTRAL YAMAHA was the Pro class sponsor of the night.

    * 21 Pros lined the gates.

    * $2,982.00 was paid out to various Pros for Rnd. # 1 -- That's only $18 shy of $3,000.00

    * $2,180.00 Pro Purse was paid out to 10 Pro racers. Huge "THANKS" to CENTRAL YAMAHA!

    * The 4-Lane Pro sections were not too easy, yet not too hard for the Pros in attendance. Every Pro seemed to like the sections.

    * Aaron $mith went 2-1 for 1st overall, and is fired up for Rnd.# 2.

    * Bud Moore won moto one, and scored a solid 2nd on the night. Bud looks to come out swinging in Rnd.# 2

    * Aaron $mith won the $502.00 PMP Sponsored Elimination Style Dash-4-Cash.

    * Bud Moore took home the moto one BSM (Black Sock Mafia) $50.00 Holeshot award cash.

    * Aaron $mith took home the moto two BSM $50.00 Holeshot award cash.

    * John Cal Baker put in strong finishes, earned some good money and is sitting 3rd in the early points chase.

    * Scotty Wennerstrom scored a 3rd in moto #1, but had a mechanical DNF in the Dash-4-Cash...which forced him to miss moto #2.

    * Russell Hale won $100 from the MOTO-MODS Master Mind Money.

    * Dylan Pemberton won $100 from the MOTO-MODS Master Mind Money.

    * With POINTS paid per moto (like an AMA Outdoor National) the series points chase is going to be adjusting every single moto. And, with some guys making only a couple of rounds, the $5,000.00 SHOCK SOX / TiscoRacing.com Championship Points Fund will come to those Pro racers that are consistent!

    Rnd #1 Results
    1 KAW 253 Aaron Smith
2 HON 466 Kerry "bud" Moore
3 HON 438 John Cal Baker
    4 HON 27 Taylor Painter

    20 KAW 60 Scotty Trimble
    21 HON 197 Dylan Pemberton

Kevin Anderson w/ JJK Productions is working on the video and should be uploaded soon.

This series is built to promote Saturday night Amateur and Professional motocross racing in the heart of the DFW metroplex...with an emphasis on Sat night Pro Motocross racing like the good-ole-days of Ross Downs and Mosier Valley MX Park. The Pros showed up and put in one hell of an effort, and ONE RAD SHOW for everyone at Village Creek MX Park!

John Cal Baker was impressive both motos!

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Taylor Painter would finish the night with a solid 4th.

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Brandon Pederson would make the 9-hr long trip from San Benito, TX... think South Padre, Harlingen, McAllen. This was Brandon's first ever Pro race and he would finish 10th o/a.

Marburger and Haney very close mid-air action.

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Robert Ewing came up from College Station and scored a 15th o/a.

Taylor Nichols leads Riley Pemberton... Nichols would finish the night in 6th, while Pemberton finished 19th.

Scotty Trimble #60 leads Scotty Wennerstrom.

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

    Tommy Miller finished 13th o/a.

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Scotty Wennerstrom ran solid in the first moto, but had bad luck strike in the Dash-4-Cash.

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Jimmy Sagers leads Justin Thompson. Sagers broke his thumb and still managed a 14th. While Thompson cracked inside the top-10, with a 9th o/a. Jimmy looks to be back at Rnd #2 for the points.... and Thompson will be for sure!

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

    Collin Haney sits 6th o/a.

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Max Patillio ran into some bad luck (16th on the night), but is capable of much better
    .

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Russell Hale finished 8th on the night...and took home an extra $100 from MOTO-MODS.

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Michael Kasberg (former Promoter, 211 & Panther Creek MX Park owner) made an appearance and is committed to the entire series after a 3-year racing layoff. The "Funny-guy" finished in 11th on the night and said the track was a lot of fun.

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Jeremy Huddleston found himself leading the $502 PMP Sponsored Dash-4-Cash, but fell victim with two laps to go to the Black Sock Mafia Assassin, Aaron $mith. Huddleston would finish the night 7th.

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Saturday Night Pro Section Crowd Pleaser.

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Aaron $mith went from last to first in the PMP Sponsored Dash-4-Cash (a very rare thing to happen in a Dash-4-Cash), and once the 2nd moto gate dropped for the 20-Lapper.... The back of $mith's jersey was the only thing the other racers would see.

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Team AXO Gear - Scotty Wenenrstrom and Bud Moore after their 3rd and 1st place moto one finishes.

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Scotty Wennerstrom podiumed the first moto with a last place to third place hard ride.

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Bud Moore leaves Rnd #1 second in points.

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Aaron $mith, "The Black Sock Mafia Assassin / Texas Iron-Man" snagged the o/a from the rest of the field. 2012 marks 9-years of Texas Pro class racing for the wily veteran, and his speed is not getting any slower!!

Photo: Keith Demele / BERM Media

Attention Pros: Remember, points are earned per Moto. Hit every round, make every moto count... there is a SHOCK SOX /TiscoRacing.com $5,000.00 points fund paid out to the Top-10 Pros.

Look forward to seeing everyone at Rnd.#2 -- Saturday night, June 2nd, brought to you by Warren Burch's JOHNSON COUNTY KAWASAKI.
