ya i just watched this weekend and it was bad *&^ there was great racing action from the p dubs to the 450 pro thanks guys i had a good time
Had a great time too. Thanks
For those that were worried about Village Creek pulling it off, Terry was done early enough that he could have raced 10 more moto's.
Sorry if it cost you in your points and you didn't make it but on Wednesday, the forecast was for rain the following Thursday and Friday at 60% so we had to make the call early enough so we did not cost any of you travel money. Gas is way more expensive than entry fee. We wanted to save any out-of-towners the grief. Heck, it doesn't matter if you live across town, if you drive one hour to and from, the gas still cost more than entry or gate fees in your motorhomes.
Some may wonder why did VC have practice on Saturday instead of racing. Well again, it was a call that was made well in advance and on Thursday morning it was still raining at the track. Heck, on Wednesday, some of the pits were under water. The ground needed to dry as much as possible before someones $200,000 rig got stuck. On Friday (as the scheduled called for) the pits were still to wet.
We hope that everyone enjoyed. See you at the Texas Winter Series at Freestone (Rd 4).
Never any doubt. Terry Cordray and his staff our top notch. We were out of there by 3:30pm with plenty of time for more motos as Tom pointed out. People seem to forget, or are newer to the sport about super-packed 1 day events held at VC...600-700 entries in one day!
A must have for all Texas motocross fans!

Apples to Apples here. There were only what 310? Anyone could've pulled that off in one day easily.
Kudos to Terry and his whole crew for a great job, we didn't race but had a good time for sure! I had to wait a little long on my damn burger, but it was worth the wait lol.
Demuth down in turn 2 on first lap, everyone passed him and he came back to what 4th in that first moto? Dude is so sik. Mitchell Oldenberg was probably the fastest guy on the track but had start problems and how about Marburger in the first 250 moto with a second, ha ha. It was a good time. Why can't announcers get the Bisceglias name right? Or Demuths for that matter. It is pronounced Ba-shell-ya, and Josh is not Demooth lol. That drives me insane, especially as long as these guys have been around...

I think he said things....turn things around, lol.
Still not sure what it is that needs to be turned around. Prep, prices, and schedule at Village are as consistent as ever.

Check underground or oak hill for reference. Theres a new precident set in N. TX MX.
Schedule was consistent with what, the other Winter Series races? No it was totally changed, but for good reason the weather.
Prep may have been consistent but it was not prepped like Oakhill or Underground. Top was dry, bottom was wet. In all fairness the rain and elevation caused most of the issues I think with that.
It was two feet dual truck tire ruts after the turn after the big downhill with the three 18'' square chunks of concrete that me and one other person moved that was the sketchy part. But that was the only sketchy part, the rest of it was pretty good considering the prior weather. It sure rutted up nice in the turns near the bottom, with multiple line choices. Even the truck ruts develoepd into nice wide ruts.
I'm still trying to figure out where all of the "track changes" were, I noticed very little different than the last time we were there.
Maybe he thinks the track needs to be turned around lol.
His practice schedule is consistent is what I meant. Same hours, same days, same organization.
Prep is consistent to what it's always been - novice/beginner friendly.
Who cares if it's just like UGMX or Oak Hill? I'm so sick of hearing that every track needs to be like UGMX or Oak Hill. Tracks are different, that's what makes riding fun. Track prep like UGMX is good for YOU (mini BPD, mini Boog, mini HookEm, whoever else likes it). Not good for EVERYONE. YOU are not EVERYONE.
I love riding UGMX when I'm feeling good, ready to hit some ruts, and do laps on a rough track. I like riding Village the day after I hit the bars because I can cruise around and do the jumps without puking after 2 laps. Shit, I've had fun at Boondoxxx, Shady Grove, and Marshall Creek!
Keep loving UGMX and Oak Hill - I know I will. But stop trying to force every other track to be like them. I like Village the way it is and so do the 100 people that show up there every weekend.
