Just do Loretta's. Every year. Loretta's. No one gives a shit about any other national except Loretta's. A top 5 at Loretta's is better than a championship at any other national. Loretta's, Loretta's, Loretta's.

I like LawnDart's idea the best though - just go ride.

Racing at Lake Whitney was fine.. in fact, great! Big turnouts, great track. But, dealing with the people there SUCKED!! Couldn't stop going there though. Kept going back..

Thats my point! The people running it was the problem!
All I ever heard was people saying that they would never go back. So what makes things different now?

I don't have a problem with Ponca running a race, I have a problem with them running it on top of the NMA's race.
Plain and simple, It's BULL SHIT!!!

Ponca has been on that same date for like 20 years. Why should they change?

If the NMA wanted to leave and start somewhere new, shouldn't they get a new date?

So was there a race in Ponca City before the NMA was running it? If not the date belongs to the NMA not Ponca.

The race in Norman is STILL the NMA GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, the only thing different is the location.

Can't say I totally disagree.. except, comparing Whitney is hard for me because Whitney was awesome. Ponca sucks!! The dirt sucks and the track sucks!! Except for Boogie, everyone couldn't stay away from Whitney!! Lmao!!

Face it Terry.. there's a double whammy in Oklahoma this year. Deal with RPM in Ponca or deal with NMA in Norman!!

I am pretty sure that until the NMA came to Ponca, it was nothing but a field. The NMA built the track and bought everything that is there.

The National at Loretta Lynn's didnt start until the early 1980s, so NOBODY had the "week before Loretta's" prior to NMA moving the Grandntionals to Ponca City, because the date didn't even exist.

What if the first round of the Supeross Series next year moves to Sacramento, then after the SX schedule was announced the City of Anaheim decided to do their own race the same weekend and call it the "Anaheim One" because they "own the date"? I for one would think the people in Anaheim were a bunch of idiots...

I believe the fiasco at the warm up race occured prior to RPM taking over Whitney.

All that was there was basically trails. They did have races, but it was just a local thing.
The NMA came in and built the MX track and turned the park into what it became!
