WOW! At first I was laughing, then wondering, then amazed. Could this be the baddest motorsport to ever race in the Longhorn State? (except an outdoor national, of course) I had heard there might be a Formula race in Austin...I just never paid much attention. This might be worth seeing. Great video!

F1 is the pinnacle of all motorsports. Best facilities, greatest cities in the world, most advanced technology, hottest women, best drivers.

RedBull reportedly spends $600 Million per year on their F1 effort. I don't have a calculator in front of me but that's probably more than the entire NASCAR field's budget.

I have auto racing friends who say there's nothing like it. Nothing accelerates faster or stops quicker. The sound of the cars is incredible, and these guys aren't afraid to tear up equipment. I'll be there- November 2012.

Moto GP in 2013. Good times for TX motorsports!!

That's our very own North Texas motocross sensation, Nathan Asay (RedBullFTW) driving that automobile. You guys know Nathan. He's the one that chases Stupidgary around the local mx-tracks on race day!

    Good job driving, Nathan

A Jeffry says, F1 is the Ultimate in Motorsports competition...and Yes, it is coming to Texas in November of 2012. The track is roughly half-way done, at this point.

Circuit of Americas has a ten year contract with FIM Formula 1. That's like a super-bowl(times ten) in Austin, for the next ten years.
The track is supposed to be supreme, well at least compared to the last race at Dallas in 1985. I can't wait for tickets to go on sale...

Well thanks for making me look cool buddy. However any of you who have passed me by on the highway driving my van at no more than the speed limit. then you know better than to really think I am the driver in that video.

I bought F1 2011 for the xbox a couple days ago. That game is so hard it'll make your head explode. Between DRS, KERS, and a million gear shifts a lap it's hard for the brain to process it all that fast. I'll be in Austin for both F1 and MotoGP, can't wait! Maybe if we ask real nice a local club could run a track day there, that would be epic. I'd love to see how many seconds a lap slower I was than MotoGP.

My father lets me track his RC51 on occasion. We've talked about turning it into a CMRA endurance bike for the longest time but the investment is just a little daunting. He recently bought a '10 1000RR Repsol replica so that may be a step in the direction of turning the RC into a race bike and taking it out more often. Right now it's just a few times a year.

Please don't laugh at my still dirty MX boots.
