Davy Smith, Over 30 A rider and track chaplain here at WTMX in Midland, suffered a terrible getoff in the first moto of the day Sunday. Initial reports were a broken femur. However, it proved to be a severely dislocated right knee and dislocated left shoulder. He was supposed to be released from the hospital yesterday. Keep him and his family in your prayers as he recovers from these injuries. He is a hard-working family man with a wife and two young daughters to support. Also, keep his dad, Jeff Smith in mind. He is an Over 50 rider who just happened to be in the race with his son and witnessed the whole episode from behind.

Just got word last night from Davy's dad, Jeff that it looks like Davy will have surgery on his shoulder and knee. He was referred to a specialist in Dallas. Keep Davy in your thoughts and prayers.
