CHAMPIONS CROWNED IN TEXAS

February 21, 2011 (Wortham, Texas)

The 11th Annual Honda of Houston/FMF AMA Texas Winter Series has come to another end and what a great series it was once again.

The highly coveted BELL Golden Helmet award went down to the last moto of the last day. The Texas Winter Series races all small bikes on Saturday's and big bike classes on Sunday's. Since the points came down to Riley Allen (50 & 65) and Vann Martin (250 & 450), there were people counting points all weekend. After a careful review of points, the winner of the 2011 BELL Golden Helmet is ........ drum role please ........, Riley Allen of Kennedale, Texas. Riley Allen beat out Vann Martin by a mere point.

For Don's efforts, he will receive a Free pair of Alpinestars Tech 7's. The SCOTT USA Vet Challenger award went to Jerry Joiner. Jerry will be happy to receive four pair of SCOTT goggles and a one year factory contract from SCOTT USA.
