So this year theres a bunch of dates that are all 1's 1-11-11, 11-1-11, 11-11-11 etc

So if you take the last 2 digits of the year you were born and the age you will be this year, it adds up to 111

ive tried this with several people and I got 111, except my 10 year old which then i got 11

I was born in 67 and ill be 44 this year...111

is this some sort of mathematical anomaly?

It only works if you were born in 19xx. Anyone born after 1999 will get 11, and anyone born before 1900 will get 211.

Both variables are dependent on eachother so you will always have the same outcome.

It's true that if you add the last 2 digits from the year you were born (only if you were born between 1900 - 1999) and add the number of calendar years since then (i.e. if you were born ANYTIME in 1990, it's been 21 years), you will get 90+21=111. But all that's really saying is that it's been 111 years since 1900. The last digits of your birth year are counting from 1900, and adding the number of years since then will always get you to the total number of years, 111. Next year it'll be 112.
