Dear Doug,
About a month ago, a TV production company approached me about a reality TV show based around small family-owned businesses in Texas. The production company was familiar with the reality TV show that Jeremy and I took part in back in 2003-2006, called THE REALITY OF SPEED, and they really liked the action of motorcycle riding and racing, and the family and life styles that motorcycle enthusiasts have. Our sport is broad -- from weekend riders, mini bikes, lady racers, all age groups, to pros. We race out of anything -- from pick up trucks to motor homes.
After a few meetings with the production company, they invited LCS to participate in their project. The production company plan to spend a few days in the 'life' of LCS filming us in various different modes of our operation. And, because of the special business and personal relationship that I have with you, I would like to personally invite you to be a part of the filming that will take place January 8 - 10, 2011. Please read over the film schedule below to see if you would like to participate. Feel free to call me at 972.743.8821 or shoot me an email if you have any questions.
Saturday, January 8: LCS will be at The Pit MX in Terrell. It would be great if you and your riding buddies would come out and hang with us so that the production crew can capture the brotherhood of dirt bike riding firsthand. We will be there from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and invite you to come around the truck and visit with us. The usual track entry fees, etc. will apply.
Sunday, January 9: LCS will take the production crew out to Pure MX Park in Montalba for the last round of the Texas Fall Series where they can watch motocross racing from the 50cc class to the open pros. LCS will be scouting out next year's fast guys too. Please be on the look out for us and feel free to say 'hi', visit, chat, etc. Again, all usual track fees, etc. will apply.
Monday, January 10: LCS will be at the shop working, where we will take in five to seven jobs that we would need to complete by the following Friday. It can be anything from suspension work to engine rebuilds. We will be limited to the jobs we take in, and are offering a discount on labor and parts for the projects selected. If you would like to be a part of this, please forward your project information to my email for consideration.
It is my hope that you will take advantage of the opportunity to help mold the show around amateur dirt bike riding and racing here in North Texas. If you plan to come join us, let me offer just a word of advice. If you and I are talking and a camera-man and sound guy suddenly closes in on our conversation, just pretend that they're not there (easier said than done).
I look forward to seeing you there, and thanks for all of your support over the last 35 years and your continued support in 2011!
Sincerely,
Lucky
