    Default Stackman's daughter, Macey

Stack and Macey were riding today in the pasture because VCMX was closed. They got together and it resulted in a compound fracture of Macey's leg with a broken tibia and fibula. She had emergency surgery tonight at Cooks Childrens. She has an external cage on her leg and will be in the hospital for six days. Hopefully, she will heal at the exit point and will not need a skin graft due to severe soft tissue damage. Please keep my little girl in your prayers for she has a long road to recovery. Thank you.

Sorry to hear Mac - Macy is one cute spirited, sweet little girl. Tell her to keep a smile on her face.

Macey is still in ICU with new concerns regarding an injured neck. No breaks, but strained tendons that could lead to displacement. She will now have to wear a collar for a month. She goes back into surgery tomorrow to clean out the injury. It now looks like she will be there until monday. Stacey and I are blessed enough to have understanding employers and one of us is with her every minute. Stack is mad because his pipe was damaged and I wont let him ride until she gets home. I cant risk both hurt at the same time. Thanks for the kind words.

    OH NO!
Prayers are with you. Hope Macey heals soon.
BTW- Good idea not to let the Stack ride. I once had two kids in two different ER rooms 75 miles apart. Was NOT fun!

Surgery pushed backed until tomorrow. I learned today that the tibia displacement did significant damage to tissue but did not exit skin. Mom and dad are doing well, but I hate that my little girl will have scars. We are looking at 8 weeks of recovery. I will not return to work until she goes back to school. Stack is still upset about riding and missing Full Moon this weekend. Unsure about ligament damage in her neck. She will be in a collar for six weeks. Thanks for the support. See you at the races. We will definately be at Buffalo Creek and the Pro Challenge. Come by and see her.

The surgery today went well. What was supposed to be thirty minutes turned into two hours. I think all work is done on her leg and recovery begins. After additional xrays and tests, she was able to take the c collar off. Hopefully she will get to come home on Tues. or Wed. Thanks for the support.

Macey came home yesterday and is doing great. She is in a wheelchair and limited on activity, but we are all glad to be home. Stack said it best when he stated, "We are now a family again." Thanks for the well wishes and thinking of her. Mac.
