Default cagiva 500 whats it worth

I have been been the lucky winner of a 1985 Cagiva WMX 500. I won it because they wanted it hauled off!
It's all there ,needs some tlc and a new piston.
I have been told only a few of these were imported.
Anyone know anything about this thing.
    Is it worth some restoring.
What might it be worth put back in shape?

    any info would be appreciated.

Bad news is you will need about 3 parts bikes to keep that one running...Those things were complete POS's !

Old4valve - I wouldn't get to far into it. Huffster is right. They were time-bombs. --- I can't think of one guy, not even Vintage guys that would pay much at for one.

Here is a shot of Texas ace Terry Tinney....back on a Cagiva. When he sent this photo over for my archives, he had labeled the photo.... Cagiva Fiasco! Not so happy with them at all...when they were brand new - hahaha!

I think that would be a cruel trick...even the go-kart would need spare engines ! Ask Terry Tinney...lol
