Big Pro Purse Weekend in August

Just thought I would throw this information out there.

The weekend of August 21st and 22nd has a great opportunity for pros to battle for some nice cash.

On Saturday, August 21st, Cycle City Promotions is running an outdoor arenacross at Clovis, NM. The Cycle City Promotions website is showing a $3000 purse for that event. For details, see http://www.cyclecitypromotions.com/scheduleclovis.php

On Sunday, August 22nd, Dixon MX is running a motocross race at Portales, NM, and is currently offering a guaranteed $2500 pro purse. Dixon may have a larger purse due to verbal committments from sponsors, but will not post any additional amounts until they are actually in hand. Keep checking here for updates on the pro purse. So, right now, it looks like pros can be riding for $5,500 in one weekend at two races only 20 minutes apart.

Had a great gate at last year's event with pros such as Teddy Parks, Jason Anderson, and Jeffery Fisher showing up.

Updating this thread.

The pro purse at Dixon MX is now up to $4000! Several sponsors have kicked in just for this event.

Cycle City Promotions has also upped their pro payout to $3700, with $1000 going to the winner of the open pro class!

So, that ups the total purses on that weekend to $7700. Should be an interesting weekend.

Just a reminder...

The money for the pro classes this weekend is just over the TX/NM state line.

Dixon MX is breaking out their $4000 pro purse as follows: $1800 for the 250A class with $200 for the holeshot in moto 2. $1800 for the 450A class with $200 for the holeshot in moto 2.
