There will never be a bikes vs. quads controversy at Village Creek--bikes pay the bills.
This is a motocross facility.
Small bikes are the lifeblood of any track--especially a night track.
They will be catered to.
We have to make business decisions--buy always in the best interest of our customers.
Happy repeat customers are the most important asset of any business.
Village Creek is a high overhead operation. We give you our best every race and practice. You deserve it.
Our practice policy was set before the season began. We never intended to practice both Tuesday and Thursday nights all year.
The economy is too soft to support that at this time.
It works in March and April because we always have a new track layout and riders need extra practice on it. After being closed for winter everyone is anxious to get back on the night track.
We expect a good turnout tonight--great weather and the North Texas Night Series is here on Saturday. It will be our last scheduled Thursday night practice this season.
We are committed to giving you a quality night practice every week.
We will stay with Tuesday night practice--my tracks have ran practice every Tuesday night for 26 years-that's "our night".
If we are rained out on Tuesday night--we always reschedule for Thursday night--our "default" night.
We will stay true to this policy.
Village Creek has been open 5 days a week for practice--that pretty much means that we are on the track 8 days a week.
Dropping the every Thursday night commitment is also a quality of life decision for our track crew. We are human.
We need a day to rest,go to the grocery store,do our laundry--maintain the equipment.
We will not cut corners on track prep-flaggers-paramedics or staff to try to turn a profit.
We love prepping tracks and love what we do. We will not lower our standards. I think you understand.
We will have a great practice here tonight--hope to see you.
Gotta get to the track.
