WTMX Park to be closed for changes next week.

WTMX Park in Midland, will be closed beginning this next Thursday, March 11 in order to make changes. We are taking out the over/under bridge, cutting it down, and moving it to where our spectator walk-through is. We are doing this in order to make the track more spectator friendly for our upcoming Sunbelt Series race as well as our upcoming night series races. We will attempt to re-open for practice on Wednesday, March 17th.

Just wondering how the track is coming along....headed to Dallas tomorrow to get ready for the supercross.......can't wit to see how Eric holds up....gonna try to do sunbelt series on his 85's.....but afraid he won't make it if he doesn't quit growing...........5'7" 130 pounds......time for a 150 or 250....any out there for sale?

Got this from Steve McGonagill earlier this week:

"Cody is wanting to sell his 07 YZ250F and get another bike. Asking $3100, I have alot of extras (wheels, brakes, plastics, etc). The bike is completely stock. I put a new (stock) cylinder, piston & rings on it the latter part of 08."

I raced that track several times a year back in the mid 80's. It was built on a junkyard of sorts, I remember a piece of a car hood or fender getting exposed on one of the bigger jumps on the track towards the end of the day.

Good times. Fun track. Long freaking drive from here. (north Dallas)

Its about 350 miles for me now that I live in The Colony. It was less than 2 hours away when I lived in San Angelo. The good ole days.

I would love to ride out there again one day though.

Michael, come on down now. I'm sure you're already in Lubbock and have nothing to do. I just got off the track and am back in town picking up the bikes. sounds tempting, doesn't it?
