Our own TXmotocross member - Frisco Kid's Dad did what many of us do from time to time and that is to enter one of the contests through email or Facebook or wherever they come from. We all do it and tell ourselves it's a waste of time because there's no way we would ever win. Well, in this case it came true. He got the email from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC.com confirming that indeed he had won. His son Jake is one of five lucky kids chosen in the contest to get to attend the Ricky Carmichael University at Red Bud MX later this summer. Winners get to train with the "GOAT" himself and the motocross icons of Jeff Emig, Jeff Stanton, Grant Langston & Ivan Tedesco. Most kids only dream of this opportunity. But for Jake, this is going to one summer that I'm sure he won't soon forget.

Hi- the admins of Texasmotocross.com on Facebook suggested I post here. Johann is 16, from Germany, is HUGE into motocross, and looking for a host family for this upcoming school year! Johann says his big passion is motocross and he enjoys working on bikes and competing. He also enjoys camping, fishing, and doing things outdoors. He says, "I am very sporty. I am very much interested in a lot of things and I am open to everything new. I have no problems to adjust myself to a surrounding or a new group of people. I am looking forward meeting you!"

To host all you will need to do is provide Johann with a bed to sleep in (can be a shared room with another boy) and food while he is at the house! Johann will come with his own health insurance and spending money for school fees, extracurricular activities, and any entertainment cost. Please consider opening your home to him for a year!! He is excited to come and learn first hand about American culture. If you are interested in hosting Johann or have any questions, PLEASE let me know!

An open casting call for the upcoming feature film Hellion by award-winning Texas director, Kat Candler (Sundance Film Festival selections Hellion, Black Metal) and Executive Produced by Jeff Nichols (Take Shelter, Mud) will be held from 3 PM – 6 PM on Friday, June 21 and from 3:30 – 6:30 PM on Saturday, June 22, at Underground MX Park, 7353 FM 3396, Kemp, TX (auditions will be held in the trailer next to RV spot #14).

On Saturday, June 22, Underground MX Park will be hosting The Monkey Butt Classic race beginning at approximately 9:30 AM. Full details about the race are available at www.ugmxpark.com.

The film is looking for imaginative and spirited boys, ages 8-16. The boys will be considered for leads roles in the film. No experience is necessary. Hellion is a father/son story about a family struggling with the death of their mother. It will be shot in southeast Texas at the end of summer. Direct questions and feel free to send a picture in advance to hellioncasting2013@gmail.com, but no appointment is necessary. Boys will be seen in order they arrive.
