I am producing a low-budget sports television pilot and want to feature a couple of motocross riders, 12yrs or younger. I would like to shoot at Buffalo Creek that weekend.
Any parents of kids that will be there: please contact me and I will give you the details of what I am looking for. In return for your participation, I will be happy to cut a short promo for free that you could utilize for marketing/sponsorship/website/etc. Ideally I would like to feature a boy and a girl in different classes.

First time on this forum- sorry if this is posted in the wrong thread. If so, let me know and I can move it so the appropriate folks can see it in time.
Thanks!

Hey guys we were on a great scheduling program before Lorwtta's but a few things have changed. # 1 Bowie closed. #2 River Valley sort of got screwed out of the whole circuit thing when we started doing it because they were on Thursdays and we ended up going to I35 on Thursdays.

Is there any way I35 can move to Wednesday now or River Valley move to Tuesdays? I know RV was always Thursdays before so I'm not sure but it would sure help out for everyone that likes to ride both places during the week.

Oakhill has the GP track open on Monday and the Nat track on Wednesday, and right now it's I35 on Thursday but if one of them/you could do it on Tuesdays we would be back in the swing of things again. Thanks and let me know.

All of you Dowdy Ferry fans out there.

I finally pulled off of I-20, drove along (about 20 mph) Dowdy Ferry road looking from the car window & trying to take it all in. I decided to take me a walk out in what I consider one of the greatest training tracks there has ever been in N. TX.

The curb- drive entrance is gated up with really large gates, unlike the old cable guard that use to get cut all of the time so everyone could ride. I headed about 20 yards down and pulled in another entrance, which leads to a concrete/sand mixing company that is in operations down towards the back section of Dowdy Ferry where all of the sand/gravel jumps were (think, behind and to the left of the main track area). Warning- DO NOT pull down there and park in that business's lot. They were having none of it (a stranger amongst all of their equipment), and actually called the cops on me for parking on their property.

I walked back over to the locked gate (just as if you hung the right off of the DF road and pulled into the entrance), and started walking (caddy-corner right) just as you would normally drive between the old barb-wire fence posts & slight tree line.......and headed out to the great wavy planes that made Dowdy Ferry so legendary.

As I was walking, with each step, my sandals sank in the light-light-light brown colored sand/dirt.... with hints of red clay sections. The wavy plane is now completely covered in the grass that use to actually surround the track/dirt course. The whoops were not really noticeable, but would take all of two days to be turned right back up. I did not walk all the way around the perimeter/course, and did not walk to the highway. I stayed at the front area and viewed the entire old course/layout...with the cars and diesels running along I-20 in the background.

The view was totally SURREAL! Thousands of memories ran through. It was like going back to better days of N. TX motocross. Dowdy Ferry was closed for good in about '95 or '96......but the landscape is still there. Standing on the far end (where you parked), and looking towards I-20....you can still vision the layouts, see the tree berms, wavy plains that have the slight grade down... then up towards I-20, the GNARLY WHOOPS....and the fastest guys in N. Texas raising hell 7 days a week.

I will be heading back out sometime soon to grab a few photos for you guys that rode there.

This berm and trees are exactly where they were....just grass grown up over the dirt. This is an old friend of mine and the shot was taken around '89-'90
