I just want to say that we had a great time this past weekend. We enjoyed the track and the racing was great.
Michael, Cade doesn't think it is fair that he has to wait until next year to race there again, but that if you would let him ride there, he would try to scare off all the deer so that you won't have that problem any more...
We have not been to many races lately, so there are a lot of riders that I haven't been able to watch in a while. Some of you guys have really been working! I thought about calling out a few of the mini riders who have really stepped up their game in the last six months, but I realized that I could only address the riders that we know or know about. That didn't seem fair to the other riders who have been working just as hard so I'll just throw out some kudos to everybody. The hard work, practice, and traveling to races is showing in every class. I really enjoyed watching our West Texas riders making such a fantastic showing against riders from other parts of the state. I enjoyed watching good riders that I had never heard of just as much as I enjoyed watching riders that I knew.
This was Cade's 4th race since his injury and I thought that he had a fantastic day against a lot of good and determined riders. Every race is a building block for the next one and he certainly was able to take away a lot of self-confidence from the weekend. Hopefully, before summer is over, he will be back to the point he was at before the injury.
This was Kalan's first race in the Sr 50 class and she was a little disappointed with how she placed. We had been trying to help her understand how much tougher the Sr class would be than the Jr class, but I don't think it really set in until this weekend. The really good news is that she wants to practice more! You can't ask for more than that.
Michael, we enjoyed the race, the place, and the series. Great job!
