We are going to stay with our EVS RC3 race collars for now. They have more flexibility than the Leatt. Both of mine have had some pretty bad get-offs (bent bars, broker bar mounts, trashed helmets, etc...) while wearing the RC3's and fortunately no injuries.

I think the jury is still out on the Leatt. I am not saying it is bad... any safety item is a step in the right direction. I cringe when I see kids riding without anything but boots and a helmet.

I've never worn any kind of neck protection and I'm beginning to feel naked without it.

I think I will be investing in some sort of neck brace before long, but probably not the Leatt because of the collarbone issue. I would like to get a gnarly neck collar though.
