Keith,

I am a parnet of a child who races the 65 classes that is totally eaten up with MX and watching my kid have fun racing. That means that I do not have the patience to watch the race unfold thru a camera! I would love more coverage of the 65 classes and would be willing to pay you for the video of my kid racing. I know this is hard to do giving the amount of riders in any given race whether it is mini bikes or big bikes. I would think that most parents of kids would pay for this service much quicker and consistent than a big bike ride rthat is already short on $$.

Do you offer the service of capturing videos/pictures of riders?? Just a thought! Let me know?

Thanks,

David Hauk

Hey David,

Sorry I just now saw this!

First off, its great to see you and your rider involved in the sport! Although I am not sure if we have met face to face I've seen your truck out at the races. I know how much fun and how exciting it is to get pics and video of your rider, that's why I do what I do!!!

I try and get as much equal coverage as possible, but the sad fact is, I have a 10 min time limit to fit in several hours of racing. The problem with using a lot of 65 footage is that they are at a slower pace, and usually single file. A pack of big bikes could go through one corner in 6 seconds but a 50 rider would take 20, it may not sound like much, but it ads up quickly. I hate to say it, but in order to make it into the video, there either needs to be some racing (two riders on screen atleast), or decently fast riding. That sounds really bad on my end, but I really don't mean it too! That's just how it is...Most video guys just do 3 min edits with music and call it a day, I try and fit as much of the day in as I can. Unfortunately, and it was a hard lesson learned by myself...Motocrossers, big or small, don't pay for photos or videos, and believe it or not, none of the photographers or videographers profit off of this stuff, even if they do charge. I ask myself every day why I am out their covering the race instead of racing it!

Come see me at the track, point your rider out, and I will try and slip them in, its the best I can do!
