Andy, i've been sitting on this since yesterday cause i didnt know if it was going to be public info. I called his g-friend last night but couldnt get ahold of her. DPW might have an updated condition cause i dont know much more than you posted... other than he had 5 vertebra removed/replaced and he's have sensation issues from the chest down. He's in bad shape and this SUCKS. Will's a good dude, badass photographer, and a badass rider. This hits home for several of us vet guys. If the Pattison's need something, someone let us know. Hang in there Will.

Please do, keep us posted. That does hit home for many of us.
If your not familiar with Will Pattison (he moved overseas a while back), here is perhaps one of his greatest photos, and contributions to the Texas Motocross scene. Will took this shot of Lynn at the Lynn Nickerson benefit ride day at River Valley a couple of years ago.
Little did Will, or anyone else for that matter, realize how much HIS innocent photo of Lynn would single-handedly bring so much joy, and smiles, to peoples faces throughout Texas motocross, and even across the nation. Hoping the best Will...!

Best of luck in recovery. I have often looked in on his blog when he was overseas. Yes, he is an amazing photographer and quite interesting.

oh for sure, i wasnt meaning anything by it Andy. truth be told, i hate this part of the forum. HATE it. it's worse when its friends but in this case i was just trying to get permission first as some people respect the privacy aspect more than others. i've seen it backfire before.
I know i tried calling and DPW spoke with Carol yesterday evening. She said his spirits are high which is an encouraging sign. I've had a few people email me and/or txt about his condition and i dont know much else, sorry. If something comes my way i'll post it. I encourage everyone that has a Facebook account to go drop him a line if you get a free moment.
Kick some ass BarP!!!!

I've known Will for several years now....this hits very close to home. I rode with Will back on this past fourth and watched him effortlessly flow around the River Valley track. He is a super smooth, fast, and safe rider.. I wish I could ride half as good as him. It just made me think or remember that this sport is dangerous and something like this could happen to anyone from the best riders to the slowest riders....
I don't know much more then what has been posted other then that he is in good spirits and ready for rehab.
Just keep Will and Carol in your thoughts and prayers

Thank you everyone for all your well wishes and encouraging words. I know that Will appreciates it and it will definitely help him in his fight and recovery.
I have known Will for almost 4 years now and he's like a brother to me. He's actually the reason I'm even here in Texas and working for Tucker Rocky. I met him at a Dealer ride day in Florida back in 2005 and from the start he has been nothing but a wonderful friend. He is someone who has a true passion for the sport, for his family, his friends and most of all - life! This is hefty bump in his journey but with support and prayers he will be back to his ole' self in no time.
I did get an update from his girlfriend Carol (whom by the way is one of the strongest women I know .. She puts up with Will ... so there you have it ! LOL J/K ! ) and here's what she has said "I'm so happy to hear that people are so supportive of Will and he was pleased to hear about everyone's concern. It looks as though he will move rooms tomorrow (7/15). They are moving him to Acute Rehabilitation (and that's GOOD!) .. He spoke to Remkus briefly and gave him an update to post online" ...
This is wonderful news, so keep your well wishes and HUGE PRAYERS coming !!
Thank you again,

Here is an email I received today from a friend that is good friends with Wil and his family. This is where he is at as of today. Lets keep him in our prayers.
His progress is positive & steady even though he now has an infection but the trip to the hospital (yesterday) has been a tough adjustment. He is feeling like a number, not a person. We arrived much later than anticipated & then got hit with no less than 20 people who needed all sorts of info. The next two to three days will consist of repeating every test, lab, xray, and scan he's had since the accident, along with a few new ones. The doctors seem good & attentive here at Craig. The program is taken very seriously. We will have to make few adjustments to get into the groove here. And hey, It's only day one.
With the minimal info we know now, Will is expecting to be here 3 months. Every person who has assessed him thus far, says they will get him walking!
Address Here:
Craig Hospital
Attn: Patient, Mr Pattison
3425 South Clarkson
Englewood, CO 88113
His present room number is 302B, but we were told we will move - maybe as soon as today.
I know I'm missing people on this email. Please pass the update around.
With love,
Carol
