Question-Is the table top before the finish line longer than the double after the finish line.I almost got the double yesterday, but chickened out on the face and it was to late and cased the second one sooo hard, but I think if I would have stayed committed I would have made it.I think the table top is bigger than that double so its just a matter of staying on the gas and commit.
See ya tuesday night

I haven't measured them since the re-shaping took place, so I'm really not the one to give you advise. I'd ask someone who will actually do it.

Anyone who is actually doing the double after the finish, what do you think?Any tips or advise.
BTW,I'm on a 250f.

Length isnt the issue Neyhart, it's angle of takeoff. The table before the finish is a little easier to clear. Easy is relative as neither jump is difficult. I do know the double after the finish takes more speed, quite a bit more. that double doesnt have much "lift" to it any more (cough, cough) so it takes a decent pace to clear it.

Drift wide on the outside of that corner, 3rd gear. use the clutch if you are bogging as you leave and just pin it. you dont have to be WFO but you need to be pulling real hard leaving the jump. i'd say 3/4 throttle on approach then give it a bit more up the face. you dont want to leave that jump bouncing the rev limiter, leave yourself some overhead/rev room in case your nose drops a little. come find me next time and i'll get ya over it.

Thanks Reems,I will
Thats the only jump I dont have down, and after this weekend I think I can do it,I just gotta COMMIT to it.The last try I did yesterday I came out of the corner, clutched and had a good approach I just chickened out at the last minute and DANG I shouldnt have done that,I cased so hard my wrists still hurt today, but I will get it.I only had about a 1/2 a bike length to go.
COMMIT,COMMIT,COMMIT

yeah, commit. it's not hard or anything. it also doesnt hurt to case it. once you get it down you can start shaving off distance in that corner. just remember to carry your speed through the jump. it's not one you just want to roll up to then try to seatbounce it with a blip.

I heard That the track master has changed the track back to a freeway in certian sections. Sounds to me like he got his feelings hurt when langford changed the track and there were 0 injurys at the PC race and that is a first. Some people just can't leave a good thing alone

Really? it's almost the exact same layout as the PC. there were a few corner options changed on the top side but for the most part, it's the same. not sure what they mean by freeway though. if you can get specifics i'd be happy to address it. however, the major changes by Langford are still there. people really seem to like it.

Not sure, we were riding at Langfords yesterday and someone said that they had change the top part of the track and it was really fast straightaways. They did say that alot of the track was the same, but that TRACK MASTER had changed the top to were it was really fast again.I was just wondering if it was true. I know that his injurys have been down since track changes and just wondered why they would make it so fast again. I did know that you would know so thats why i asked. We can always get the truth from you

Who is TRACK MASTER?

No fast straights on the top yesterday. The turn on top of what was a step jump, slick, tricky and fun. Sliding sideways downhill wondering if you were going to slip off the edge at times.

He doe's track work at village and thats what he calls himself. Its great to know that the track is pretty much the same. I would just hate to see the motorcycle community loss another riding place that is so close for everyoone. And if they have anymore deaths it is a real possiblity.

Yeah only one real noticeable change to the layout. The corner way back ontop the hill after that old house is different. it used to route you to the right around a tree. now you turn just before you get to the tree. everything appeared to be normal.

Well now that you say that maybe thats why my wrists hurt, the last 2 practices of the day thats all I did was the tabletop to finish to double, them braking bumps before the finish may have worked on me a bit.

I'm reasonably certain it's the brake chop and not the jumps. i broke both naviculars in my hands that never fully healed. the fringe benefits of having bones of glass. anyway most days after riding they hurt really bad but dont bother me much while riding other than being numb. however hitting a braking bump will send them into fits which is why you'll see me make some crazy line choices, lol. casing jumps has never hurt them though. knock on wood.

Forget the VC double, how about the RV quad? I saw a few guys hittin' it last week. It didn't look that bad but I just didn't have the nut that weekend. Maybe next weekend.

By the way, I like this new chat board. I just found it yesterday. Seems alot more lively over here.

That's what I convinced myself of when the dude on the KTM was hitting it but then some chunky dude on a Honda started doing it. Now that jump has been in my head for over a week.

I remember when I went out there...I've only been once...but Michael Pritchett was triple singling the quad.
I thought it was possible, but I was about to be the first to try it on a 125 two stroke. Especially when I was already qualified for LL in both schoolboy classes.

Now, the two jumps before the Mammoth at Freestone...that Hackley doubled, that was nuts.
Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I have tripled that section at RV but i think the jump has changed. not sure about that though.
dont know on the freestone thing but I saw Hackley triple the old Shelmans Double to that tabletop afterwards.

I remember seeing Hackley at Freestone doing that,it used to be two table tops before mammoth but they were spread out big(like 30 to 45 yards apart, maybe bigger) and he would hit the first table and down side the other one right before the turn. You are right that was nuts but very awesome to see,he's the only one I ever seen doing it,but heard their was others that did it too.

like reemer said dont worry about the lengh that will scare u after awhile so just hit it on a 250f would be 3rd gear 3/4 throttle and u will get over it just fine and again DONT WORRY ABOUT LENGH
