Freestone !

Just getting back to a computer for the 1st time since Thursday mng...(I am not a techie, and have no laptop) hahaha !

Very long and FUN FUN FUN week. What a blast, if you didn't make it please go next year. There is just something really special about the return after 19 years.. not just the racing, but the friends that you run into after not being in contact. An outdoor 3 day motocross event brings in a lot of people, and its really cool to catch up with old friends.

The track -- absolutely freakin killer - Can't wait until Nov 10 & 11 to race on it.

The National - excellent job from Tony, Karen, Tom and crew all the way down to the workers and staff ... everything was great!

Personal note - Tony and Tom - when you see this.... THANK YOU SO MUCH for allowing me to be a peice of this history...from announcing Amateur Day, the Book, and the Legends Parade Lap.....THANK YOU BOTH! You allowed me to fullfill a dream AND not just my deam, but Remoh Priddy's dream as well.

TOM -- neither myself nor Remoh, had any idea you would go the extra mile to take her to the finish line jump on the LEGENDS PARADE LAP. I think people were BLOWN AWAY... from Davey Coombs at RacerX, and Tim Cotter the announcer (who gave her some major love and attention on the mic) all the way to Texas motocross fans that remember Wyman Priddy.... It was really cool to see Bobby Pickard out there sportin the Wyman Priddy LOOK. She was letting loose of some tears..on the finish line and at the trailer. I know that she is proud of what you guys have done for the TEXAS motocross fans.... As I escorted her to her car she informed me she wants to come back next year for a Second Helping. I say hell yes !

For what its worth I hope the National returns for next year and I think you guys did a great job.The track was perfect and the racing was awesome, just all together a GREAT FUN TIME.

Oh yeah, very well said. The track and facilities were top notch, it was a great time. thoughout the day i had several spectators asking questions (normal moto fan stuff.. how's RV, who's your favorite, who ya shootin' for, etc) and i made it a point to ask their opinion of the track. Not one complaint and there were tons of compliments on access and what not. I'd say most people feel they got their money's worth.
Thanks for the opportunity, nice finally meeting you btw.

Shand,

It was "my" pleasure in taking her up there. It was something to remember for sure.

There are so many to thank. Everyone that worked the event, wanted to work it to help make it successful. We can't even imagine how many decisions were being made at even given second. The dedication that everyone showed was in part why the event was so wonderful. We are all family and purest. Events like these can only grow with the support of everyone. From Vernon Patterson and his crew framing the tower in four days in the pouring rain, to all the flaggers standing in the heat, it took everyone. Because everyone that worked wanted everyone else to have fun, it could not come off any other way.
