Since there seems to be some bias towards republicans here... I thought this series of 5 videos would be entertaining.

We are in trouble no matter who gets elected. Politics as a whole is a joke, we need another revolution, but most people are too lazy and comfortable in their lives. This country is going down the shitter and it will take something I cant even imagine to turn it around.

Like I said, no matter who is sitting in the chair, we are in for a shitty ride. The president is little more than a puppet. If our forefathers could see the mess that has transpired in 250 years they would kick our asses. Were are no better off than in the days of old, ya we have cars and internet and all that cool stuff. But our government takes more than they should and just give it to themselves.

They way it should be run is as a business, make a profit and you get rewarded, lose money continually and ur ass is in the unemployment line.

So when you relax your sphincter...

Tax and spend = Democrat ?

WTF?

The spending and government in general have grown more during this administration than any other. so take the old paradigms of campaigns past and put em right next to your head. Unless you make $250,000 and up then you taxes would stay the same OR GO DOWN.

There are a lot of people that would argue that the middle class is collapsing. The middle class is what separates the US from any other nation

Bumper stickers and flag pins don't make you a patriot.....

Calling bullshit on a shitty economic plan doesn't make you slanderous towards the VP....

using scare tactics and propaganda to dilute subjective discussion is closer to fascism than democracy

Unless you make $250,000 and up then you taxes would stay the same OR GO DOWN.

Wrong. You need to really look at the tax plan he is proposing. Try 39,000.00 or more a year and your taxes will go up. Also, any kind of bonus you might get will be taxed higher, any kind of profit sharing will be taxed higher & he wants to bring back the inheritance tax.

Furthermore, if you raise taxes on big business, who do you think will pay for that increase? Its simple, you & I will.

Trust me, you will not hear me defending Bush but I do like to point out that Congress is as much to blame.

Oh well, I guess we'll see come Nov. 4

Right now I've got a bigger problem to deal with than McCain or Noboma...................Some guy named Ike :(

No, but refusing to wear a pin that is being worn as a symbol to the people of 9/11 when you have already been accused of having ties with the people responsible for the attacks speaks volumes to me. Not respecting the flag during our National anthem speaks volumes to me. If it doesn't to you, thats your choice. Try finding the American flag anywhere on his private plane.

Maybe my problem is, I'm just a 'typical white person".........

Your right but all it was about was McCain getting confused on what he was saying. Kind of like the other day when Noboma said "my Muslim faith". You didn't hear a word from me. They both are having to do SO much talking right now that it is only human to make a mistake.

What I try and focus on is the actual facts, sorry if you don't see it that way.

Here is what is great about that. We are all blessed to live in a country where we have the right and the priviledge to argue about the things we are arguing about right now. I think everyday but especially today we should remember that. Its not personnal in any way with me pU300 and don't for one second, take it that way.

But to call that man McCains preacher is a false statement. To say he supports McCain is one thing but then again, the Black Panthers support Noboma.

I can't believe you would go there because I can post video after video of Noboma's ACTUAL preachers. The man HE CALLED his mentor. The man who married him and his wife. The man who HE CALLED the inspiration behind his book . Or we could talk about the other man he said was the reason he WAS NOT leaving his church. If you guys would like to see them, let me know. Talk about living in a glass house.........

As for the taxes, I read a VERY different plan as far as an Noboma tax plan. I think it has already been posted here. Regardless of which tax plan is WRIGHT, I wouldn't vote for the worthless POS if he sent me a grand a month.

Wow!!!!!!!! Check this one out, and apparently this is for real.

http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=9920

Here is a little of it..............

In the lawsuit, Berg states that Sen. Obama was born in Kenya, and not in Hawaii as the senator maintains. Before giving birth, according to the lawsuit, Obama's mother traveled to Kenya with his father but was prevented from flying back to Hawaii because of the late stage of her pregnancy, "apparently a normal restriction to avoid births during a flight." As Sen. Obama's own paternal grandmother, half-brother and half-sister have also claimed, Berg maintains that Stanley Ann Dunham--Obama's mother--gave birth to little Barack in Kenya and subsequently flew to Hawaii to register the birth.

Berg cites inconsistent accounts of Sen. Obama's birth, including reports that he was born at two separate hospitals--Kapiolani Hospital and Queens Hospital--in Honolulu, as well a profound lack of birthing records for Stanley Ann Dunham, though simple "registry of birth" records for Barack Obama are available in a Hawaiian public records office.

Should Sen. Obama truly have been born in Kenya, Berg writes, the laws on the books at the time of his birth hold that U.S. citizenship may only pass to a child born overseas to a U.S. citizen parent and non-citizen parent if the former was at least 19 years of age. Sen. Obama's mother was only 18 at the time. Therefore, because U.S. citizenship could not legally be passed on to him, Obama could not be registered as a "natural born" citizen and would therefore be ineligible to seek the presidency pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution.

let me say I always try to post the truth, and that being said, I just saw this but it looks to be for real...................if it turns out to be false, I will remove it from this form.

NUT- No worries... I am glad that there are honorable men like your son out there. Thank you for raising a young man like that...I will pray for his safe return. BUT, I think economy is the central issue. You of all people should realize that the irresponsible spending over the last 20 years has put our ass in a sling (especially bush's war.) If we don't get it together we will be lose the ability to make war when our creditors stop lending us money to do so. Que Shitstorm
__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _
and BTW i think it is bullshit that good and honorable citizens are sacrificing everything based on a personal vendetta. Afghanistan and Pakistan were the original theaters. Al Queda didn't have a greater enemy than Sadam. From what I have read he viewed Al Queda as a threat to his ultimate power and would not tolerate the presence. He WAS a terrorist, but at least he only terrorized HIS citizens. Now we are stuck in a shithole between 3 tribes of people that have been slaughtering each other for thousands of years. If democracy survives there it will be a miracle.

IMO 2 things should decide this election and 2 things only Energy Plan and Economic recovery strategy.

Speaking of riding it out, I offered my place to a friend in Galveston, but he's going to ride it out with his front row seats:

"We are about 5 5ft above sea level, the best way to explain is my yard is about 25 yards deep then you hit a sand beam about 3 feet high that is there to keep water out under normal conditions, after the beam you have a beach that slopes slightly for about another 25-30 yards then you have ocean. Basically half a football field from my house is the water.

The short distance to the water is why they built them higher, most here are 7ft off the ground we are 9ft, actually 10ft to the floor since you have 1ft of beams and supports. They have told me a cat3 or less is no problem here and as long as the surge stays below 10ft we are cool."

At least he's prepared - he has plenty of beer and frozen pizzas. Oh, and 3/4" plywood.

Would you like me to show you? Before electricity, people routinely cooked stuff by burning various fuels.

You could even build a good old fashioned wood fire and use a dutch oven.

Not quite as precise as an electric or gas oven, but oven instructions would be in the ballpark.

Haven't heard from my buddy in Galveston since 5pm or so, at that time he reported 5 feet of water under the house, all streets in the area flooded. He noted the storm calming and thought the eye was about to get there. As per the National Weather Service it was still 100 miles or 8 hours away. That is one gnarly looking radar loop due to wind speed.

Some waves hitting the house, and he definitely thinks someone deserves a case of beer for how sturdy his house seems. He stayed because he was confident it would withstand up to Cat 3. I expect it will, but damn I wouldn't want to be inside.

Normally I don't mix drinks when home alone, but I was in the mood for a HURRICANE so I got the ingredients for a "New Orleans" style recipe. That Bacardi 151 sure does hit. 10% done and I'm already ... well, I'll have to let others try for themselves sometime.

HURRICANE, New Orleans Style recipe (slight tweak on the dark rum, so call it IKE style if you want):

1 oz Bacardi Light rum
1 oz Bacardi Select rum
1 oz Bacardi® 151 rum
3 oz orange juice
3 oz pineapple juice
1/2 oz grenadine syrup
crushed ice

Serve in Hurricane Glass, preferably with a black straw (got some of those too).

Nice. Michelob Ultra is good stuff. I seem to be out of that at the moment.

Anyway, since IKE is a category 2 I figured I had better make a second one. Plus the pineapple juice was a 6 oz can, and each one calls for 3 oz, so...

Here's the result of the above recipe. I don't seem to have any D&S or Kustomtattooz stickers, so I'll just plug for Shand and 11K while I'm at it:

Normally I don't mix drinks when home alone, but I was in the mood for a HURRICANE so I got the ingredients for a "New Orleans" style recipe. That Bacardi 151 sure does hit. 10% done and I'm already ... well, I'll have to let others try for themselves sometime.

We had hurricanes on Saturday at my dads. I enjoyed them, Aaron not so much.

Complete with Bacardi 151? If there's not a flammable rum it there, it's merely a tropical depression.

Those are much less dangerous. With a hurricane, you definitely should feel the "punch" and 151 sure does a fine job of that.

Did that dish on the roof make it ? Amazingly the one on my mom's house in Surfside did. Houses 2 lots down completely swept off the stilts, houses 2 lots down the other direction with blown off roofs, house directly behind them destroyed, and here is their house and the one next to it without a mark on them.

Finally got word from my friend who fortunately survived through Ike in his house on the beach at Galveston:

"We just got power back an hour ago, Ike kicked the shit out of us <laugh>"

"I will not be riding out another one, that was the longest night of my life"

"I got water in my first floor which is about 10 ft off the ground and waves were beating the shit out of my house, I said a few prayers that night and a few times I thought I was done for ;o)"
