View Full Version : Stupid Cross claims VU youth brigade leader HI MOM!

Stupid cross claimed it's first victim today. Hi mom thought he could hang with the Vets but it cost him his leg. He over jumped the finish line table and ended up with a broken ankle or leg. I'm not positve but his bad timing may have been a result of a streaker on a bike. I'm geussing he may of seen the streaker as he was approaching the finish and it scared him so much all he could do was gas it. Don't worry Team Vets Unite took control of the situation. The chief and another member walked him about 50 ft before they got tired and the viking picked him up and threw him over his shoulders and into the back of a truck. The viking then tried to carve him up and throw him on the trash can grill, something about eating the conqured makes him stronger. After we got the viking off of poor justin the rest of the team took part in ripping his clothes off and much to Justins displeasure throwing around his leg so that everyone could see the injury. After a few laughs and thumps on the leg we loaded him into blues dodge ambulance and drove him to the hospital. Blue made sure to hit every bump in the road and to hit every wall and door in the hospital while wheeling him around waiting for his amputation. I'm surre the rest of the VU members will be piling into the beds next to him soon after eating the trash can chicken. Good luck Hi Mom the pics will come soon.

yeah...that streaking episode would make the best rider crash!!!
when I seen the clothes flying off, I figured I better get off the bike!! My luck...it woud have passed me, I'da seen something flopping in the breeze & I would have been carried to the hospital!! ewwwwwwww!!!!!
Blue...I must say, the way you were ripping his pants off, had your way w/ him & then put his shorts back on...I'd say that was a sign of a pro!!! I ain't buying the story that it's experience from pulling clothes off of strippers, cuz they got internal plumbing & nuttin gets in the way! Dude, if Justin had been a chic, I woulda been proud of ya...but...well! hmmmm!

yea thats pretty much what i was thinking. well as it turns out the tuesday morning report from the orthepedic went way way south. at the ER i was told 6 to 8 weeks in a cast. today i was told way differnt. this is way more serious then expected. doc says i need surgery and i will be in some type of foot device for atleast 12 weeks. where the break is is uncommon and the cartlige/blood flow around will hinder the healing process extremely. his main concern is me walking but as far as sports or riding goes, its pretty much a very high risk and out of the question. so this is a very hard blow for me as i will be off work for a while and laid up in a bed. keep an eye out in the forsale thread, because there will be a couple of bikes in there in the next week or so that i need to let go due to all of this. thanks again for everyones prayers. this injury has come at one of the roughest times for my family. theres a lot going on around the Hi Mom residence with not just me but some other things we have been going through. see yal soon hopefully

Shittal. Sorry dude. If it is as serious as the DR says, you should get a second opinion, it will give you some piece of mind at the very least.

I totally agree with Trevor, get a second opinion, a friend we all know and love was told he'd have to have surgery on his shattered heal and he got a 2nd opinion and turns out he didn't and all is well. Just remember Justin, everything will be fine. God does not put on you more than you can handle. I'm praying for your whole family. Love you kiddo!!!

well if had a pic of the x ray i would show you but he shot both of my ankles and and its clear of the difference. this big solid bone has about a half inch gap with a piece broke off in there and my leg is actually moved back some. its plain to see. but the guy at the hospital obviously didnt know what was going on.

all the reason to get the second opinion buddy. i was slated to have surgery on both wrists but choose to rehab it instead. they arent perfect but i do believe i have better use of them now because of it. the breaks were the scaphoid/naviculars and the dr's gave me the same line. poor blood flow, wont heal, will limit range/movement, etc. had a similar experience with a shoulder. anyway, have it looked at again if feasible. hang in there.
i would do that just in case. And for the record, i saw said person mrs zero was talking about on sunday having a good ol' time and he destroyed his ankle/heel in like a million pieces.

yeah, the hardest part to swallow is that without a doubt im gonna have to trade in my dunlops for either a camera or a pit board. with my sketchy/rough riding style it wouldnt be such a good idea to get back on for a while. i land hard like that all the time. this time just did me in though. so i guess i can use this time to grow up a little and figure out what im gonna do for the rest of my life. ill see what i can do about a second opinion. thanks reems

Its always smart to get a 2nd opinions on things this big, it may change things, it may not. But its just good to know for sure. Even if you do have to have surgery, you'll be fine. You have a family and lots of friends who love you and support you. And you know both you and your family is in our prayers as well!!

yip, i completely understand your dilema. if you choose to stay involved while you are recovering there are plenty of things to do/see. the photo stuff can thank my injuries for expediting the situation so there is a huge silver lining. be happy to show you what i know if you're ever interested.

Second opinion, second opinion dude, I stood there in the emer room with a buddy when the doc old him he would never ride again because of his broken collar bone, I almost fell out of the chair laughing. If i had gotten a second look at my leg i prob would have been laid up for half a year. Not saying doc is wrong but it always good when it's something this big. Keep your head up.
