Joni Bisceglia (Matt Bisceglia's mom)
Crashed during practice on Sunday 08/21/2011.
She was careflighted to Harris Hospital In Ft.Worth, Texas.
She has a broke back, broke femur, broke rib, and bruised brain.
She is in a coma, and hasen't woke up since the crash.
All prayers are needed and welcome!!!

Joni also broker here wrist. On a positive note during all this tragic time, last night when they were dropping the dose of the sedative she did blink her eyes and actually opened them for a second. That is very positive in a situation like this. Thoughts and prayers are with Joni, Don and Matt.

Went to hospital today,
Got to visit with Don, and go back and see Joni today!
I haven't actually gone back tothe room to see her till today!
I usually just stay in the waiting room and talk to Don.
She is doing about the same, but some signs seem to be good,
Don said that the coma is actually medically induced, so that she dosent feel the pain, which in turn, will cause her brain to be over active. They dont want this right now!
They are planning on putting a trake in , and a feeding tube, so that she can get some nutrition in her to build her strength, because they are gonna try to do her back surgery next week,that is, if the swelling goes down enough in her brain.She still has good skin color. I told her she had alot of kids wanting to know when "momma B" was gonna make them some more of her awesome brownies... lol

She is still doing about the same,
he says that her CPs (Cranial Pressures) are stable,
but she does have Pneumonia.

Talked to Don, He says now they say that she does not have pneumonia!
Thank goodness!!!
Still no change from yesterday, but they are gonna do her back surgery at 10am in the morning!!!

Joni Bisceglia Day 11 Update!
We went to the hospital last night, and went back to see her, and talked to Don.
The back surgery went good!
While we were there, she opened her eyes, she was still seddated, but she seemed to calm down when Don held her arm and told her it was ok, that he was there.
She did have eye movement with her eyes closed, while we were talking to her, so she seem to be some what responsive, it was definatelly a good visit.
She still has a long road to recovery, but this gives us all a lil hope!!!

Day 13 Update on Joni Bisceglia!!!
Talked to Don and Matty on the phone, Joni had her leg surgery yesterday, and it went awesome. She still has her eyes kinda open, but is still very seddated.
They are gonna try to slowly take her off the seddation....
She also had a good day on her birthday.
KEEP PRAYIN, it's workin....
It will be a slow process, but every day seems to get a lil better... :)

SHE IS AWAKE!!!!!!!! YAAAAAAAA!!!!!
REALLY AWAKE!!!
She has the trake in, but she is awake and coherent, and tries to talk by mouthing!!!
She is still a lil confused, but when I asked her if she knew who Don was, she mouthed "yep", and Matty , she mouthed "yep", she knows who Heidi and I r, knew who the Hollidays were. We were telling her about her back, and leg, and that she had been asleep for 2weeks, and her eyebrows raised!
We told her she was beautiful when the nurse was brushing her hair, and she made that JONI whatever face!!! I was leaving, and I told her i was soooo glad she was awake, and that Heidi would be there with her, so she wouldn't be alone, and she mouthed thank you!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, and THANK YOU for ALL the PRAYERS!!!
PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING HER WAY, SHE STILL HAS ALOT TO OVER COME, BUT WITH ALL OF OUR PRAYERS AND HELP< SHE WILL SURLEY COME OUTOF ALL THIS GREAT!!!!
PLEASE be sure to come t the benefit race next Saturday the 10th, to help out, and be in the video tape that we will take up to Joni at the Hospital !!! LOTS of FUN stuff planned, so come out and celebrate with us!!!:eek:

Day 20! Joni Bisceglia Update!!
We went to see her Wednesday night, and she was awake, and coherent.
She knew who we were, and she had her hair up, and looked like was just layin around takin it easy.
She was still tired, and a lil out of it, but really doing good.
Yesterday , they moved her to the Baylor Rehab. Center in Dallas, she has alot of hard work ahead of her, but she is strong, and will be just fine! expecially with all of us praying for her!!! so please KEEP PRAIN!!!

We had an awesome turn-out. right at 200 practice entries, and around 200 spectators!
I would like to give a LARGE THANK YOU to all the sponsors, and people who helped out by donating: time, product, cash,and prayers!
Liz and David , Thank you sooo much for helping me get all this together, and helping me make it happen,and letting us do the benefit at your track!!! Also thank you Cara Harmon, for all your hard work, and effort as well!!! The baloon toss was histarical , the buddy race was awesome, and I am sure, that Joni will love the birthday song from all of us!!! I haven't posted anything yey, because, I am trying to get all the videos, and pictures together, so that I can actually make a Page For you guys to go to to be able to see all the fun!!
..... NOW.... the question at hand: We raised right at $8000.00 for Joni and her family, and will be having an online auction for the remaining items, that did not go to auction at the Benefit!!!
