On May 19th, Shawn Fincher crashed on his home track. He was knocked unconscious and life flighted to the hospital. He had a broken femur, dislocated hip, brain swelling and bleeding on the brain. Shawn had a 7-1/2 minute seizure that led to a stroke and eventually, they had to remove the left half of his skull to relieve the pressure. He was unconscious for 18 days and just recently woke up—only he is not very alert. They fear the stroke may have caused him permanent vision problems, including possible blindness. His eyes aren't moving and are dilated and the pupils aren't responding to light. The good news is that he is now awake and he is not paralyzed like they had feared. Shawn's close friends have started the website www.StayStrongShawn.com (http://www.staystrongshawn.com/). Please go there to find out more about Shawn and how to help.
