I will look to try to shoot some pics with my "lamo" camera so you guys can see but a basic over view is we do not have any hardpark any more except for maybe the jumps.
We have majorly bowled up many of the corners with a new section that I call the "gauntlet". It is a big bowled up corner into a big sand woop section into a narrow bowled up "S" turn. We all think it should be pretty cool. Most of the track as many know is a very fast flowing track. This section can still be pretty fast flowing but technical.
Hope that helps and again hope to have some pics later this week before we open. :-)

What is the new kids track like ?

The kids track is staged to have sand put on it next week. It is ready to ride currrently with some small amounts of sand but no major changes have been done. Still good for the lil ones. We will be looking to add some enhancements in the coming weeks.
The main track is looking really good. It doesn't even look like the old track, and the old track was pretty good. Many changes and much improvement. No hard pack sections any more unless you count maybe certain tops of some table tops jumps.
Hope you guys have a good time this weekend. Trails will also be worked on in the coming weeks. For now they are closed. ;-(

This track absolutely sucks, their idea of track improvement is dumping 2 inches of sand on top of the hard pack, the whoops are a joke, there is only 1 decent bowl turn all the others are way too tight like an arena cross corner. Don't waste your time or money here unless you like hard packed, unprepped, rough sketchy tracks

Wow! So you sayin' you didn't care for the place? Very first post makes your opinion somewhat suspect... Oh well, now you know YOU won't be going there again...

that was kinda harsh and obviously you cant corner very well there is only 2 turns that are really tight but it was still pretty fun the whoops were fun to play with because they werent very big at all so it was good for beginner riders and for more advanced riders to just play with, the jumps are the same there isnt alot of new dirt but it was still an improvement for tmx. Not the best track in tx but its getting better and there wasnt anything sketchy about it

C'mon man you can't be serious, number one don't make a new screen name and hide behind it like a ****ing pussy talking shit. The guys at TMX work hard and they have come a long ways since last year when I first rode there, so if you got a problem like this please go talk to Sam or any of the personel there first because he always asks me how I like it and what I'd like to see improved if anything. They put an honest effort into it and you coming on here and bashing it at that level can hurt their business bad dude, they are all good people with good intentions. I ride there all the time when I am healthy but haven't been out there in a long time due to school and injuries but it has slowly gotten better and I hate seeing peeps like you come on here to bash and talk shit like that.
Give TMX props for trying and the effort they have put forth, YOU are hurting the motocross community with negativity like that.

We absolutely loved the work and changes that Sam has done with the track. It takes a lot of work to change the once hard-packed, black dirt into what it is today. We really loved the new whoops section of the track as well. I didn't get to ride today due to having to work on my son's practice and race bikes, so I didn't get to enjoy the whoops, but they looked like a lot of fun to me. Heck, whoops are my favorite part of any track; I'm just biased in that regards. My son rides an 85 and he was just ripping it up out there today, and when I asked him how he liked the new layout and track, he was all smiles and said he loved it. It has a good flow now. Kudos to Sam and everyone else that has put in their heart, sweat, and efforts in making TMX what it is today.

wow dude, if you're going to bash all the hard work Kody and Sam have put into the track like that, atleast man up and say who you are. and I know Kody is all ears when you have input on the track, so why didn't you tell him this at the track, instead of getting on here and bashing them behind a newbie s/n??
but I for one, thought the dirt looked good, not Nocona, RV, or VC good, but for what they have to work with, they're slowly getting better and better. I was a bit disapointed to see they had to fill in the sand whoops before I had a chance to ride them, but that's another thing, how often do you see a track change something during practice because some people had concerns about it? probably not many... just more proof that Sam and Kody are good guys busting their asses to give you a nice place to ride...

We all know who you are TV785.
You're the guy who's silencer has been in need of repacking for the last 8 months, is a C rider who thinks he could be an A rider if only you could figure out how to "skim the whoops", will take out anyone due to an utter lack of awareness of your surroundings and then chalk it up to a "smooth block pass on that slow dude" and is in general, a poor representative of our sport.
Do us all a favor before you need to take advantage of the RiderDown benefits. Sell your bike and take your place in the age-old tradition of guys like you who love to tell stories about how they used to race and were going to turn pro but had to stop because (insert self-serving comment here).

Ya I am a c rider, no I do t think I'm an A rider nor do unthinkable I ever will be, my post was purely my OPINION about the track if you don't like it too bad, I like the track a lit better when cleavland had something to do with it but again that's my opinion, and no my silencer doesn't need to be repacked

Me and my son had fun at TMX this weekend. What track do you normally ride at ? Like stated above this is not RV , VC or Nocona but it has come along way and is a fun track. If you can ride fast at TMX you can ride fast at any track ; )

Nobody has a problem with your opinion of the track, to each their own, but it's coming on here and bashing the track how you did, if don't like something, go up to Kody or Sam and talk to them about it, like I said, they're all ears when it comes to your input on the track, Tmx is their heart and soul, and they're busting their asses to try and make it better.

Yeah man you told people to not go out there which in turn some people actually believe and hurts their business. I hope you sleep well at night knowing that a local track and their crew is busting their asses to provide a great place to ride and now you are taking money out of their pockets. Changing a track is trial and error, and I don't own nor have I operated one so I have no idea but god damn I can see it's a ton of work. This is ****ed up so look at it from that standpoint, I'm willing to bet you didn't even bother to take it up with the management before you left. You must had wanted to be an internet hero to talk shit about a track in hopes of driving business away. People in the DFW area wonder why tracks close all the time these days, running one is a lot of investment and time and I bet doesn't pay too much. TMX Management has a big heart and would love to hear you "constructive critisism". Because sometimes the truth hurts and they can't fix something they aren't aware of. I'll be back out there riding in the next week weeks once my hand is finally heals, can't wait!

Im glad to see that sam is still putting alot of time and effort into making his track better and better. He has always come up to me and asked me how I liked the track, what would I change, what his plans are, etc. I just went yesterday for a shortwhile and didnt see sam around to talk to him about the track. The dirt is coming along much better, the soil actually holds moisture now. Its not for me however but I do appreciate his concern with making a quality track. I wish them luck and will give the track another shot in the near future.

I got a chance to ride TMX yesterday and it was good! The only problem I had was that I was basically the only person there, there were 2-3 other riders when I showed up but they left soon after and I was the only rider there until dark and had the track all to myself - it was great but c'mon people they are putting a good effort and have some good jumps so come out and ride!
