I have a pinch bolt on the lower front forks that I rounded the head off. I have a few ideas but wanted to check and see some effective ways of removing it. Any ideas? Thanks.

this will sound redneck, but it works.... Hit the head several times with a hammer, this will mushroom it a bit and cause it to flatten out. You should then be able to knock the socket onto it with the hammer then it should come right out... then replace the bolt and dont tighten them so much

lol. That is funny. Is that easier than using vicegrips to break it loose?

yes...lol
When I was in the Marine Corps part of my job was to remove broken/stripped bolts that the avionics guys screwed up, needless to say they kept me busy

Ok, I'll try that. What would be your second choice. I was thinking vise grips, too. It's worked before, but if I snap the head off I'm thinking drill it out and use a reverse back out bit. What do you think?

Snap On makes some sockets designed for that you can also buy them individually. I had to buy one one to get a bolt off my old gixxer to put the frame slider on. It worked outstanding so I can say they do work and work good.
