Episode 49 finds the Seat Time Crew at SMS Racing in Denton, TX. Brian Storrie and his SMS crew have teamed up with the Violation1.com East Coast Lites team for 2012. With the Dallas Supercross coming up this weekend, we wanted to hear more from the team and the riders.

There was quite a good bit of racing that went on as well this past weekend. Kurt Caselli won NHHA, Mike Brown won WORCS, Martin Howell won LACC, Caleb Ramsay won TORN, Josh Young won TORCS and Cole Kirkpatrick won TSCEC. Of course we go into more detail during the show, but that is a lot of racing and we’re proud of everyone that woke up and rode their dirt scooter!

Hope you guys enjoy our little outing to SMS, it should look familiar, as it hasn’t changed much since our 10th episode there last year. We just have some sweet sponsor banners, a wicked Supercross bike and the same old dusty camp chairs.

November 29, 2011 (Wortham, Texas) – In an effort to relieve racers and their families from making choices to race in too many places all in the same weekend, Freestone County Raceway, LLC has rescheduled its 4th Annual AllStar Amateur event to a night event on Saturday, August 11, 2012. With the unfavorable weather reports and riders pre-registered from several other states, it is the decision of the staff at Freestone to reschedule the event.

We urge racers and their families to support the local Blizzard Series going on this weekend at Underground. Stay tuned here at www.FreestoneMX.com for more information about the 12th Annual Honda of Houston/FMF AMA Texas Winter Series starting on New Years weekend.

Several key players at the Cycle Ranch facility have been recently promoted to fill all key positions. The management team directed by George Russell consists of Todd Osborn- Track Foreman, and Ashley Littrell- Business Manager. A calendar for 2012 will be published in the coming week with a host of different racing venues to once again electrify fans. “This Is Cycle Ranch”

Today we are very proud to announce the new TXmotocross.com launch, with it we hope to continue to connect the riders, families and fans of the sport…From moto-media, to facility and race information, we are your source!

If you are not familiar with TXMotocross.com, we are a statewide website focusing an all things Texas Motocross. Established in 2007 by local pro and renowned photographer Aaron Remkus, TXmotocross.com quickly became a mainstay for motocross news and information in the North Texas area.

Originally a small North Texas forum meant simply for bench racing, as other area sites went under, the need for the site to take on additional roles became apparent. So, in late 2009, I took over operations of the website. On new years day 2010, we attempted to launched TXmotocross into a new class of moto-website, from a simple North Texas motocross forum it was transformed into a media/forum hybrid…Verdict is still out on how successful it was, but the numbers across the site grew nearly 300% everywhere, 500% in traffic, while still maintaining the awesome community aspect of the site…We learned a lot from the first site launch, both technically and politically…but it still needed improvement…all around, so here we are nearly two years later bringing you what is actually version 4 of the site.

Our vision for TXMotocross.com embodies the continual development of all aspects of the sport…it is an open platform to the motocross media, the track owners, fans, and the riders to make their lives easier in any way possible. Photographers, Videographers – please feel free to get in touch and get your stuff out there on the site.  Track owners, please USE the site where it is most powerful, on the forums, on the social media channels, and on the calendar…We’ve got you on the track map, we can’t do much more besides driving people to the track! Riders, you know what to do! Fans, keep checking in for new content and event information as it comes!

This new version of site has been a long time coming and we are glad to finally launch, with that  I would like to thank Aaron Remkus, Shand Garcia, Michael Kasberg, and many more behind the scenes who help make this site a reality…Without their support and passion for the sport who knows where the Texas Moto scene would be. I would also like to thank all the tracks and media folks out there who continue to use and support the site, without you, it would not exist.

I think that about covers all the bases, we are sick of sitting behind the computer screen, we are headed to the track!
